The treatment landscape has recently evolved with the approval of ritlecitinib, a systemic therapy for severe AA in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older, based on efficacy demonstrated in the ALLEGRO phase 2b/3 program.

Despite this advance, important questions remain regarding the optimal timing of therapy initiation. Emerging post-hoc analyses from the ALLEGRO program indicate that patients with shorter disease duration and lower baseline severity achieve higher response rates, suggesting that earlier intervention with ritlecitinib may lead to improved outcomes.

Rita M Medeiros (Rita's Closet) Scholarship

The purpose of the Rita's Closet Scholarship is to honor the memory of Rita Marie Medeiros by providing scholarship (s) for graduating seniors at any public High School in Carroll County, Maryland, and the Carroll County Career and Technology Center. College major must be in the agricultural sciences or other ag-related field. 2.0 GPA or higher required. A 500 word essay on the importance of ag programs in the community is also required. This scholarship is on the 4-H portal.

4-H Brenda Barber 4-H Family Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of The Brenda Barber Family Memorial Scholarship is to honor the life and family of Brenda Barber by providing scholarship(s) for graduating high school seniors and continuing students who are members of Carroll County 4-H Clubs. 

Applicants must be starting college in the fall OR current college student at any community college, trade school or four-year institution. The scholarship check will be written out and mailed directly to said college or trade school.
