R. Kubly Family Foundation

The goal of the R. Kubly Family Foundation is to enhance the quality of life in Monroe, Wisconsin by empowering educated and leadership-focused individuals who live and work in the Monroe area.

Scholarship Loan Program

The R. Kubly Family Foundation makes low interest loans to qualified individuals for use in paying their school tuition for graduate, professional, or certain undergraduate degrees through the Scholarship Loan Program. Equitable Sioux Empire Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating senior of an accredited public or private high school in the Sioux Falls area. Equitable employees, associates, immediate family members of employees, and associates of the Donor are ineligible for this award.

The PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay, established by PEN America, honors a distinguished writer whose collection of essays expands their body of work. This prestigious award, with a cash prize of $15,000, recognizes books of individual essays that can explore a specific theme or a variety of subjects. Eligible candidates must be U.S. residents and cannot be debut authors, ensuring the award celebrates established voices in the literary community.

The PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award honors outstanding writing that effectively communicates complex scientific ideas in an accessible manner. Established by Dr. Edward O. Wilson and supported by notable figures, this award recognizes a single, living author for their work published within the calendar year. The winner receives a $10,000 cash prize, celebrating excellence in the literature of the physical and biological sciences.

The PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award for Biography, presented by PEN America, recognizes outstanding literary works in biography published in the U.S. during the previous year. With a prize of $5,000, this award celebrates authors who demonstrate exceptional narrative and artistic merit through scrupulous research. Since its inception, PEN America has awarded over $370,000 annually, supporting diverse voices in literature and promoting the freedom of expression.

The Onyx & Breezy Foundation Grant provides financial support to animal welfare organizations in need. By leveraging funds from generous donors, the foundation aims to help various initiatives, including medical treatment, spay and neuter services, and providing pet food. Eligible applicants must demonstrate non-profit status, while capital improvements and previously covered medical care are excluded from funding. The AMA Foundation's Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship provides $10,000 to medical students entering their final year. Since 1950, over $61 million has been awarded to support diverse medical students, particularly those underrepresented in the field. Applicants must show commitment to medicine and patient care, and all students from accredited U.S. medical schools can apply, regardless of AMA membership status.

The AMA Foundation's Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship, offering $10,000 in tuition assistance, is designed for medical students approaching their final year. This scholarship aims to support underrepresented groups in medicine, including African American, Latine, and Native American students, who are dedicated to serving underserved populations. Since 1950, the AMA Foundation has awarded over $61 million in scholarships, promoting diversity in the medical field.

The William W. and Beverly I. Sutton Scholarship, provided by the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, aims to empower Muskegon County residents to achieve their educational dreams. This scholarship is available to high school seniors, current college students, and adult learners. Margaret Ford Smucker and Lloyd K. Smucker Scholarship Fund

The fund was established in memory of Margaret Ford and Lloyd K. Smucker by their son, John L. Smucker. Margaret and Lloyd Smucker lived most of their adult lives in Medina County, and Margaret Smucker taught in the Medina County public schools for many of those years. This fund provides scholarships annually to assist economically disadvantaged graduates of high schools in Medina County, Ohio to continue their education through college.

The Leifur Eiríksson Foundation Fellowship supports U.S. and Icelandic scholars in graduate research or study exchanges between the two countries. Applicants must be enrolled in accredited institutions and demonstrate a well-defined research project. The fellowship covers up to $25,000 in costs, including travel. The program promotes academic collaboration and cultural exchange, helping scholars enhance their education while fostering international relationships. Applications must be submitted by the deadline with all required documentation.

The Watson-Brown Foundation Scholarship offers need and merit-based financial assistance to students from Georgia and South Carolina attending accredited four-year colleges. Established in 1970, the foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged youth, awarding over $2.4 million annually. Eligible students can receive up to $3,000 per semester to cover educational expenses, supporting their academic journey while encouraging responsible scholarship and historic preservation.

The Emily Stover Memorial Scholarship offers $2,000 annually to support outstanding members of the Nantucket community. This scholarship is aimed at individuals who are dedicated to helping others and are pursuing careers that reflect this commitment. Eligible applicants must be Nantucket residents attending accredited colleges or universities, demonstrating a passion for community service and a desire to make a positive impact.

Aaron W. Howard Scholarship Fund

The Aaron W. Howard Scholarship Fund was established by the parents, family and friends of Aaron Howard. Pfc. Howard died in February 1991 while serving in the U.S. Army in the Persian Gulf War. He was a 1989 Lakeview High School graduate. There are no restrictions as to college to be attended or curriculum to be followed. To qualify, an applicant must be in need of financial assistance and must have demonstrated potential to succeed in the college curriculum to be pursued. Factors considered, in addition to financial need are character and citizenship, industry and effort and ability as indicated by test data and grades received to date in high school.

Kieth and Serena Cockrell Scholarship

This program was established in honor of long-time HBCU and UNCF supporters Kieth and Serena Cockrell, who are passionate about education and paving the way for future leaders. Eligible applicants must be permanent residents of North Carolina and a high school senior graduating from any public, private, or charter high school in Mecklenburg County, Union County, or Cabarrus County during this current Spring 2026 term.

Renewable Up to $30,000 Over a Four (4) Year Period. Up to $7,500 Per School Year.

The HuFriedyGroup/Esther Wilkins Instrument Scholarships, sponsored by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), support students enrolled in accredited dental hygiene programs in the U.S. This scholarship provides recipients with up to $1,000 worth of dental hygiene instruments of their choice. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be ADHA members. This initiative seeks to enhance educational opportunities and promote professional growth among future dental hygienists.

The Jacobs Research Funds (JRF) provide grants for research on aboriginal peoples of the Americas, supporting projects that focus on endangered cultures and languages, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. Grants range from $3,000 to $9,000, and applicants must submit all required documents, including support letters, by February 15. JRF prioritizes new data collection and does not fund proprietary or non-aboriginal research. Eligible researchers must typically hold a Master's degree or have a designated Sponsor.

The Military Heroes Program, funded by the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation, offers high impact grants to support both active duty and retired service members in their transition to civilian life. This initiative focuses on harnessing military skills for community leadership, promoting educational programs that honor service, and providing resources for meaningful employment. Non-profit organizations can apply for funding to create programs that align with these priorities and positively impact veterans and their communities.
