DHS, through its Behavioral Health Administration, is seeking to address the public health crisis caused by escalating opioid and stimulant use, Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), Stimulant Use Disorder, and opioid and stimulant-related morbidity and mortality across the nation.

Objective of RFP

The Minnesota Department of Human Services, through its Behavioral Health Administration (STATE), is seeking Proposals from qualified Responders to improve access to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) services throughout Minnesota. The term of any resulting contract is anticipated to be for fifteen months, from August 1, 2026 until September 29, 2027. STATE may extend the contract up to a total of five (5) years.

Funding will be allocated through a competitive process. Successful Responders may only incur eligible expenditures when the grant contract agreement is fully executed and the grant has reached its effective date.

Objective of RFP

The Minnesota Department of Human Services, through its Health Improvement and Benefit Design Division, is soliciting proposals from qualified responders to provide integrated, culturally supportive perinatal care to pregnant Black/African American and or American Indian Medical Assistance enrollees who are at high risk for adverse birth outcomes. Services must be delivered through qualified integrated perinatal care collaboratives as defined in statutes. The anticipated contract term is two (2) years, from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028. The State may extend the contract for up to an additional three (3) years in one-year increments, for a total contract term not to exceed five (5) years.

Humane Organization Grant Program 

Mission

To enhance the quality of life of shelter/ rescue animals and to increase their chances for adoption. 

The St. Croix Valley Foundation (SCVF) Humane Organization grant program funded by the Compassionate Animal Fund, is accepting applications (invitation only) from Managed Open Admission humane organizations located in the upper Midwest. The grants, ranging up to $3,000, can cover items on your “wish list” including food, supplies, infrastructure needs, and veterinary cost. 

Funding Criteria

Grants are intended to provide funds for items such as food, supplies, medicine, spay/neuter programs (for in-house animals to aid in adoption) newsletters, or other needs and/or programs that most benefit the humane organization.

​We understand that shelters may differ in the services or alternatives they offer during the waiting period prior to intake. If your facility is at capacity, you must provide a clear statement outlining how emergency surrenders and stray animals are handled, including the procedures your organization follows to operate as an Open Admission shelter.  

The Minnesota Rural Hospital Flexibility Program Quality and Population Health Grant aims to enhance rural healthcare delivery through innovative strategies. Funded by HRSA, it assists critical access hospitals (CAHs) in improving quality, implementing MBQIP, and advancing population health initiatives. The next funding cycle is anticipated in 2029, providing an opportunity for rural communities to enhance healthcare services and build capacity in emergency medical services and health professional collaboration.

The McKnight Choreographer Fellowships provide three $25,000 awards annually to Minnesota choreographers, offering unrestricted support for artistic development. This fellowship encourages study, experimentation, and new project exploration. It aims to recognize experienced artists who have made significant contributions to their field. The McKnight Media Artist Fellowships, offered by FilmNorth in collaboration with the McKnight Foundation, provide four $25,000 fellowships to mid-career media artists residing in Minnesota. These fellowships aim to recognize artistic excellence and support the creative work of individuals with a strong commitment to media arts. In addition to the financial award, fellows benefit from public acknowledgment, networking opportunities, and professional support, fostering a vibrant community of artists.

The McKnight Fellowships for Musicians, administered by the MacPhail Center for Music, support mid-career musicians in Minnesota who have demonstrated artistic excellence and commitment. Each year, four $25,000 fellowships are awarded to solo artists or small ensembles. These funds enable musicians to focus on their craft, pursue new projects, and enhance their artistic growth. This program emphasizes inclusivity across various musical genres, celebrating the vibrant culture of Minnesota's music scene.

The McKnight Fellowships in Playwriting support mid-career playwrights in Minnesota, providing a $25,000 stipend, $2,500 for play development, and $1,400 for travel. This fellowship recognizes playwrights who demonstrate a distinct artistic vision and commitment to their craft. Eligible applicants must have had at least one professional production and maintain residency in Minnesota. Recipients will become Affiliated Writers of the Playwrights' Center, contributing to the vibrant landscape of theater in the region.

The Core Writer Grant Program is a prestigious initiative by the Playwrights' Center that supports a diverse group of professional playwrights over a three-year term. Selected writers engage in workshops to develop new works while receiving guidance from industry experts. With 25-35 playwrights involved annually, the program fosters artistic growth and provides opportunities for public readings and networking, enhancing the careers of emerging talents in the theater community.
