Dorothea B. Shaw Scholarship

The Dorothea B. Shaw Scholarship will provide $8,000 ($2,000 per year for 4 years) to support tuition, books, fees, room & board, and degree-related expenses for a student graduating from a Duval County public or private school and attending an accredited post-secondary institution in the Northeastern United States. Northeastern states are identified as: CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VT. In selecting the successful candidate, the review committee will consider academic achievements, leadership experience, desire for personal growth and financial need. 

The Barr Foundation's Education Program is dedicated to transforming public high school experiences across New England, emphasizing excellence and equity for all students, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. By supporting innovative models, investing in a skilled educator workforce, and fostering community engagement, the program aims to ensure that every student is well-prepared for their future. The Foundation prioritizes partnerships with public schools and organizations committed to these goals.

The Barr Foundation's Climate Grants program is committed to addressing climate change through equitable solutions that prioritize communities impacted by environmental injustices. With a focus on clean energy, mobility, and resilience, the program aims to foster an inclusive movement that supports diverse voices and builds capacity among organizations led by people of color. The initiative emphasizes collaboration and innovative strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare communities for climate impacts.

RFA-2027-OCOM-03-COMPL: Complaint Investigation Services

Division of Long Term Supports and Services

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Long Term Supports and Services (“Department”) is seeking responses to this Request for Applications ("Solicitation" or "RFA") from qualified Vendors to provide statewide Complaint Investigation Services regarding allegations of client rights violations on behalf of individuals with acquired brain disorders or developmental disabilities, pursuant to New Hampshire Administrative Rule He-M 202.   

Qualified Vendors must meet the following minimum qualifications for a complaint investigator, pursuant to New Hampshire Administrative Rule He-M 202.09 (a):

• Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in social work, sociology, psychology, human services, related behavioral services, or criminal justice and experience in performing complaint investigations totaling two (2) years or more; or 
• Experience in developmental disabilities services in New Hampshire totaling three (3) years or more in an area such as service coordination, program management; or quality assurance.

The Rural Business Development Grants in New Hampshire aim to support small rural businesses by providing technical assistance and training. While there is no maximum grant amount, applications from the Northeast Kingdom are capped at $200,000, and other regions at $50,000. Eligible organizations must match funds 1:1 in cash and have specific geographic ties. The grant emphasizes quality and commitment in artistic work, aiding in the growth and visibility of mature artists.

The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation Grant aims to prevent and mitigate adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) to promote healthier outcomes for children. With a focus on empowering families, healing behaviors, and access to healthcare, the foundation supports nonprofit organizations that provide comprehensive care and resources. Grants range from $100,000 to $250,000, totaling up to $1.945 million for project-specific initiatives. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating in states where AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid markets exist.

Division for Behavioral Health

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, Division for Behavioral Health (“Department”) is seeking responses to this Request for Proposals ("Solicitation" or "RFP") from qualified Vendors to increase awareness of and access to recovery supports and services for students with alcohol and drug use problems and/or who are sober-curious and creates a supportive campus environment that fosters wellness, connection, and long-term success.

The Patterson Foundation offers Assistance Dog Program Grants to support organizations providing service animals to veterans and individuals with disabilities. Funding is available for projects that expand capacity, personnel costs related to puppy training, and program support aimed at improving client experiences. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) non-profits and can request grants up to $35,000 for capital projects or $10,000 for program support. Applications are accepted through a two-step process.

Grants from Endowment for Health help New Hampshire health-focused organizations fund urgent or innovative projects, technical assistance, or knowledge-building efforts; awards US $1,000 - US $20,000. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions serving New Hampshire residents, and museum-based programs may be eligible if they advance community health or health equity.
