Best Financial Assistance Grants in New York

The Hilda M. Hill Memorial Scholarship is offered by the Four County Community Foundation to support high school seniors and recent graduates from Capac, Almont, and Imlay City. The Biological Modeling Specialty Section (BMSS) will present the Perry J. Gehring Biological Modeling Award at the BMSS Business Meeting and Reception during the SOT Annual Meeting. However, Native Forward Scholars Fund scholarship opportunities have different Tribal eligibility requirements and can be determined by submitting a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

PNM Pueblo Education Endowment Part-Time Scholarship

Anita Tarr Turk Fund for Breast Cancer Research

The Anita Tarr Turk Fund for Breast Cancer Research was established in October 2011 as an endowed field of interest fund. Its purpose is to distribute grants annually to one or more charitable, educational or scientific organizations conducting top-level research searching for the cause of, and cure for, breast cancer.

Anita Tarr Turk encouraged the Community Foundation for Monterey (CFMC)’s board to consider grants to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and the California Breast Cancer Research Program. The Fund may also consider proposals from organizations conducting similar research. Due to the narrow field of interest and suggested organizations in the fund’s establishing documents, organizations are invited to share research projects for CFMC to consider.

The John Lennon Endowed Scholarship, established by Yoko Ono to honor John Lennon, supports students attending UNCF member institutions. This initiative addresses financial need and promotes education among African American youth. With over $65 million awarded annually, UNCF empowers thousands of students, advocating for minority education and community engagement. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, complete a FAFSA, and demonstrate unmet financial need. This scholarship plays a crucial role in fostering future leaders.
