Delaware Art & Design Scholarship

Awards:

• One time award of $20,000. Students may reapply each year.

Scholarship amounts vary depending on the scholarship applied for. Applicants are encouraged to apply for as many awards as they are eligible to increase the likelihood of receiving one or more awards.

Scholarships can be used for cost of attendance, direct education expenses, including tuition, books, and/or other school-related fees.

If you receive an award, be sure to complete your scholarship acceptance form (online portal). Scholarship awards are paid directly to the academic institution by the end of August.

Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship Fund

The Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship supports DeKalb County graduating seniors who have been active in 4-H for at least six years, including their senior year of high school, and who plan to pursue agriculture-related education. Financial need is an important consideration, and students may attend any accredited trade school, college, or university. 

The Lipsky-Whittaker LGBTQ Scholarship, established by the SouthCoast Community Foundation, provides financial support to graduates from New Bedford area high schools who identify as LGBTQ+. Applicants must be under 24 years old and enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college. Eligible applicants are junior faculty in the U.S. who have completed nephrology training. The grant provides up to $35,000 for one year, with potential renewal. Funds cover research costs, salaries, and limited travel, while prohibiting indirect costs and patient care expenses.

The Richard I. Stessel Waste Management Award, presented annually by the Air & Waste Management Association, honors outstanding achievements in waste management. Kids' Chance of Massachusetts offers scholarships to children of workers who have been severely injured or killed in workplace accidents. This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization awards funds based on financial need, with applications accepted annually. Eligible students must be dependents aged 17-22, enrolled full-time in post-secondary education, and demonstrate financial need. Renewal applications are available for previous recipients who maintain satisfactory academic progress.

Community Foundation of Henderson County

Community Foundation of Henderson County was incorporated in 1982 by a group of fourteen dedicated and compassionate local leaders with the immediate need to manage two funds - the William C. Armstrong Scholarship Fund and the Charlie Renfrow Scholarship Fund, in addition to providing a permanent vehicle for citizens to give back to their community.

Arthur and Lois Jean Stuenkel Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial support to a graduating senior seeking to further his or her education beyond high school. The recipient must be in the top 25% of his or her graduating class and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is for a worthy student who has participated in sports or extracurricular activities. 

The scholarship is renewable.

The Council of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians (CNNT) Research Grant, funded by the National Kidney Foundation, offers $10,000 annually for research that enhances kidney disease management. Eligible applicants must be NKF-CNNT members with at least two years of nephrology experience. The Craft Artists Emergency Relief Grant provides $3,000 to U.S.-based individual craft artists aged 18 and older who are facing recent, unforeseen emergencies. Established by the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+) in 1985, this grant aims to empower artists during critical times, allowing them to use the funds as needed for recovery. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, ensuring timely support for artists in distress.

The Bonita Kraft Occupational Therapy Doctoral Student Scholarship, valued at $5,000, supports doctoral candidates in occupational therapy focusing on mental health research. This scholarship honors Bonita Kraft, a dedicated advocate for integrating occupational therapy into mental health services. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program, have IRB approval, and conduct research addressing chronic mental health conditions in adults. The scholarship aims to enhance the visibility of occupational therapy within mental health treatment.

The CERF: Artist Get Ready Grant offers up to $1,000 to craft artists for safeguarding their studios and preparing for emergencies. Priority is given to underrepresented artists, including BIPOC and folk/traditional artists. Eligible activities encompass studio safety upgrades and disaster readiness. Applicants must be 18 years or older, residing in the U.S. for two years, and not have received this grant in the previous year. Funds must be used within six months, with outcomes documented for CERF+.

The Richard J. Weyhrich Leadership Scholarship, offered by the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation, aims to support high school seniors, undergraduates, and returning students with demonstrated leadership potential. This scholarship, established in memory of Richard Weyhrich, a West Point graduate and U.S. Army officer, provides financial assistance to help students achieve their educational and career aspirations. The foundation fosters an inclusive environment, encouraging all students to apply and reach their full potential.

The Maureen 'Mo' Clancy Memorial Scholarship supports female students from San Luis Obispo County who have participated in cross country or track and field during high school and are pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship aims to empower young women, fostering their educational and career aspirations while promoting diversity and inclusion within the community. Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are welcomed from high school seniors, undergraduates, and returning students.
