Scholarship eligibility requires students to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year public or private institution of higher learning. All scholarships are for full-time students, unless otherwise noted. Renewable awards are for 4 years of undergraduate study and cannot be used for post graduate coursework; all awards are paid directly to the school or may be used for book reimbursement.

The Society of Toxicology offers the Supplemental Training for Education Program (STEP), which provides up to $1,000 to support graduate students in toxicology seeking additional training to address skill gaps. Eligible applicants must be PhD students who have completed coursework and passed comprehensive exams. The funding covers workshops or courses not available through their graduate program, enhancing career prospects in toxicology.

We’re Fuel Up – an initiative created by America’s Dairy Farmers to help meet the needs of schools across the country when it comes to fueling healthy bodies and healthy minds.

Fuel Up is all about educators, students and partners working together to make a difference in their schools and their communities.

Fuel Up is an initiative focused on helping educators and students fuel wellness in the areas that matter most, like being mindful and staying healthy. Our educational resources, partnerships and grant/funding opportunities aim to broaden access to good nutrition and overall wellness.

School Nutrition Equipment Grants

Nutrition equipment grants are now available through GENYOUth's End Student Hunger initiative, with applications now open in the new School Wellness Portal.

K-12 schools can apply for an equipment grant to help increase students' access to, and participation in, nutritious school meals.

Overview of Fuel Up Equipment Grant

• One of two nutrition equipment kits—each valued at $2,000—is available to qualified K-12 schools to improve access to nutritious foods.

• Your application must demonstrate how the funding will increase your students’ access to and their consumption of dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese). Your local Dairy Council can help you with ideas for how to increase dairy.

• Applications will be evaluated based on a variety of factors, including school enrollment, student reach, in-school support, school location, and the sustainability of the proposed program. Consideration will be given to schools in underserved communities whose students are most at risk for poor nutrition and childhood obesity.

• You are encouraged to contact your local Dairy Council with questions about the application process. They can be especially helpful in suggesting ways to increase dairy consumption at your school.

Schools can visit the GENYOUth School Wellness Portal to review eligibility requirements, explore equipment options, and begin an application.  

The Pfizer Clostridioides difficile Research Collaboration aims to engage innovative researchers to explore the burden of C. difficile infections. Selected investigators will collaborate with Pfizer's medical team to design a research project and publication. The initiative covers multiple countries, including France and the US, acknowledging the significant health risks posed by C. difficile. Projects can request funding up to $500,000 USD, with a maximum duration of 12 months, emphasizing the urgent need for further studies in this area.

The PCC Rapid Response Grants provide support for cultural initiatives that aim to shape narratives during critical cultural moments. These grants prioritize projects that engage communities of color, immigrants, refugees, and other marginalized groups, focusing on intersectionality, gender justice, and social equity. Eligible projects include pop culture campaigns, research, and public spectacles that respond to urgent political and cultural events, aiming to reach mass audiences and disrupt harmful narratives.

Native Forward awards are allocated based on the financial aid information provided by the institution’s Financial Aid Office. Awards can vary, ranging from $100 to $30,000 per academic year.

Native Forward Scholars Fund members of federally and state-recognized Tribes as well as first and second-generation descendants. However, Native Forward Scholars Fund scholarship opportunities have different Tribal eligibility requirements and can be determined by submitting a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

Grace Wall Barreda Memorial Scholarship

This opportunity is provided to honor the life and legacy of Grace Wall Barreda.

The purpose of the Grace Wall Barreda Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native graduate students pursuing degrees full-time at an accredited institution in Public Health or Environmental Science/Studies.

This opportunity is a need-based award.

The BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation offers a $3000 Continuing Education Scholarship to support Maine women pursuing accredited college or training programs. Since 1962, this initiative has empowered women to achieve economic self-sufficiency through educational funding. Eligible applicants must be Maine residents, have completed at least one year of college, and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is a vital resource for women committed to enhancing their education and career prospects.

The Jeanne L. Hammond Memorial Scholarship, funded by the BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation, supports Maine women pursuing undergraduate degrees or certifications. Established in 1962, it emphasizes financial need and community involvement, with a preference for journalism students and BPW members. This scholarship aims to empower women to achieve economic self-sufficiency and contribute positively to their communities.

The Oregon Barber and Hairdresser Grant Program, administered by the Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission, offers one-time financial assistance to low-income students attending eligible barbering and cosmetology schools in Oregon. This grant aims to support students with significant financial need, ensuring they can pursue their education without financial barriers. Limited funding means only those with a demonstrable need receive support, and grant amounts may vary yearly based on fund performance.

The DoW Arthritis Translational Research Award, funded by the U.S. Army Medical Command, aims to support high-impact translational research focused on accelerating findings into clinically relevant solutions for arthritis. This award is intended for preclinical or animal research, emphasizing the significance of the proposed outcomes in advancing arthritis research and benefiting Service Members, Veterans, and their Families. Applicants can choose between two research levels, with the requirement of a community collaborator for Research Level 2. The Gresham Scholarship Fund offers a $1,000 non-renewable scholarship to support students from the Gresham Community who have been residents for at least three years. Applicants must have completed one semester at an accredited post-secondary institution and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. The Palmetto Bluff Inspiring The Arts Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, aims to support talented high school seniors from Beaufort, Jasper, or Chatham County in pursuing post-secondary education in the arts. American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation

The AAFP Foundation focuses on improving health for everyone, and your support makes an immediate impact on the good work we do—from leadership development and education scholarships to funding social and health care services.

The AAFP Foundation strives to create a sense of belonging through an inclusive environment that embraces the family medicine community by recognizing individual uniqueness and contributions to family medicine.

Richard D. Feldman, M.D. Student and Resident Essay Contest

Each year, the Center for the History of Family Medicine (CHFM) sponsors a contest to encourage medical students and family medicine residents to write scholarly essays relevant to the history of family medicine in the United States. The first-place winner will receive $2,000 and the second-place winner will receive a $1,000 award.

The Greater Houston Community Foundation (GHCF) administers a variety of unique scholarship funds that grant over $5.7 million annually to college students. The scholarship funds have been established by thoughtful and generous donors and each has a unique set of eligibility criteria and award structure.

Scholarship Application Info:  

Greater Houston Community Foundation administers over 60 different scholarship programs, each with differing eligibility requirements. Eligibility for some scholarships may be dependent on employment, course of study, high school, or college. 

William A. Brookshire Foundation Scholarship

The William A. Brookshire Foundation Scholarship benefits dependents of S&B Engineers and Constructors employees.

About the Scholarship Award:

Multiple scholarships awarded for the 2026-27 academic year. Award amount varies by college/degree type:

• Bachelor's or Graduate Degree: Up to $15,000
• Associate's Degree: $5,500
• Students may reapply as long as they meet eligibility requirements

What can this scholarship be used for?

The scholarship will be mailed directly to the student's college to be used towards tuition, required academic fees, and/or book expenses.

Are there any requirements I must meet if I am selected as a scholarship recipient?

• Recipients must attend an accredited university, community college, or trade school in the United States.
• Recipients must enroll in the following hours for both the fall and spring semesters (or be enrolled full-time according to your school if it is on a different system) unless in the last semester prior to graduation
  • Minimum of 12 hours per semester for undergraduate students
  • Minimum of 9 hours per semester for graduate students
• Recipients must submit college enrollment information online through GHCF Scholar the summer before the academic year begins. This information is required in order for the scholarship check to be mailed to the student's college. Instructions will be included in the student's award letter.

For Torrington High School graduating seniors who have excelled in the study of English and are planning to major in writing, literature, journalism or a related field.

The Domestic Violence Prevention grant aims to enhance access to forensic healthcare services for American Indian and Alaska Native victims of domestic violence and related issues. By fostering multidisciplinary partnerships, this initiative promotes trauma-informed care and improves victim support across IHS Areas. The CAO Legislative Crisis Grant, funded by the National Education Association Staff Organization, is designed to support affiliates in creating and refining student-centered initiatives. Grants can be utilized for contract campaigns, new program development, or enhancing existing practices to improve sustainable learning conditions. This opportunity is exclusive to affiliates, ensuring a focused approach to advocacy and collective bargaining efforts that benefit students.

The Gerald C. Corcoran Education Grant, offered by the North American Native Fishes Association (NANFA), supports educational projects focused on native fish ecology and conservation. With a generous matching grant from the Corcoran family, eligible NANFA members can receive up to $2000 biennially for various environmental education initiatives, including materials production, aquatic surveys, and teacher training workshops. This program honors the legacy of past NANFA President Gerald C. Corcoran, emphasizing the importance of public education in fish conservation.

The Peter C. Sotus, M.D. Scholarship is part of the Erie Community Foundation's initiative that awarded over $800,000 in scholarships in 2023 to support students pursuing post-secondary education. This scholarship targets high school seniors accepted into accredited institutions, focusing on careers in medicine or music. Preference is given to students born outside the US or children of non-US born parents. This award encourages diversity and support for aspiring professionals.
