Nevada's RHT Funding Opportunities

The Nevada Health Authority (NVHA) is currently seeking applicants for initiatives funded through the Nevada Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

These funding opportunities support Nevada’s statewide effort to improve rural health access, strengthen healthcare infrastructure, expand workforce capacity, and implement innovative care delivery models.

The Rural Health Transformation Program is supported through a federal cooperative agreement authorized under Public Law 119-21, Section 71401, and administered in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

To bolster and modernize the state’s rural health care infrastructure through investments that enhance and modernize local rural health care infrastructures. 

Bolster and modernize the state’s rural healthcare infrastructure with new investments in items like technology, equipment, supplies, mobile units, emergency services, etc. 

The Impact Las Vegas Grant Program provides substantial funding to nonprofits in Southern Nevada, focusing on initiatives that enhance culture, education, environment, family, and health. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status and serve the local community. Grants support projects with clear goals and measurable outcomes, while excluding funding for operational costs, individual grants, or political activities. The program aims to empower local nonprofits to create significant positive change within the community.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to effecting positive change in Southern Nevada. Focused on four key pillars—STEM education, at-risk youth, sustainability, and local businesses—it aims to uplift the community. As part of its initiatives, the foundation will award $100,000 in grants to local nonprofits, inviting community nominations for five $20,000 grants. This effort marks the 100-day countdown to the 2025 Grand Prix race.

The Albertsons Foundation - Southwest supports nonprofit organizations that enhance local communities in the Southwest, focusing on health, hunger, education, veterans, and diversity. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000 for first-time applicants, with higher amounts considered for established organizations. Eligible applicants must have a valid 501(c)(3) designation and serve the community. The foundation does not fund individuals, political or religious organizations, or events.

The Nevada Women's Philanthropy Impact Grant, established in 2005, supports 501(c)(3) public charities in Southern Nevada that address community needs. With over $8.7 million invested in local nonprofits, NWP prioritizes projects that align with their mission and demonstrate sustainability beyond the grant. Eligible organizations must have strong financial management, a minimum annual revenue of $250,000, and a commitment to community impact. This grant represents a crucial opportunity for nonprofits seeking to enhance their services.

The Nevada State Bank Grant supports community development initiatives aimed at benefiting low and moderate-income individuals and areas. With over a million dollars donated annually, the Bank encourages financial literacy, economic development, and various community services. It invites applications from non-profit organizations recognized under section 501(c)3 of the IRS tax code, focusing on projects that enhance education, health, and overall community livability.

The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities supports local organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children in Southern Nevada. With a focus on critical needs, education, and medical services, the charity has distributed over $65 million since 1982. In 2022 alone, it provided $500,000 in grants to 63 child-related organizations. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) non-profits serving children in the area, while requests for capital projects or religious purposes are not accepted.

The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation offers Local Impact Grants to nonprofit organizations in 11 markets, providing $225,000 to support local programs addressing community issues. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with a revenue exceeding $100,000 and must operate in one of the specified television markets. The grants aim to empower youth through education, promote diverse storytelling, and enhance community engagement. This initiative underscores Comcast's commitment to fostering inclusion and equitable opportunities for underserved communities.

The MGM Resorts Foundation Community Grant Fund supports nonprofit agencies providing essential services in areas such as affordable housing, education, and health. Grants are awarded for a one-year period and focus on regions where MGM Resorts employees live and work. Eligible applicants must comply with diversity policies and serve individuals or families. The foundation does not fund governmental agencies or projects exclusively for medical research. This initiative aims to enhance community well-being through targeted support.

The NV Energy Foundation Grants program, starting in March 2025, invites 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Nevada to submit an open Letter of Interest (LOI) once annually. This initiative aims to fund impactful community programs, emphasizing environmental conservation, education, and public safety. Successful LOIs will lead to funding decisions in July and December, fostering collaboration and volunteer involvement while promoting community awareness of the Foundation's philanthropic efforts.
