Community Foundation of Randolph County
Our mission is to bring people and resources together to strengthen the quality of life, both now and in the future, for the residents of Randolph County.
The Community Foundation’s work falls into three major categories: grant-making, donor service, and community convening. Our most visible activities are the grants and scholarships we award each year. Most of these awards come from income earned from permanently endowed funds. Scholarships and other grants come from funds that donors have established for specific purposes.
Rickert-Shierling Educational Scholarship Fund
The Fund was established to provide scholarships to students who meet the following qualifications: A resident of Randolph County, Indiana, any age seeking higher education, post-secondary education, or adult education, in pursuit of a certificate, diploma or academic degree. Preference will be given to a student with a desire to learn more about human sexuality and/or secular humanism. In the event there is an applicant who desires to study another field on a quest to learn, assuming all other qualifications are met, the monies from the fund can be utilized.
