The Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) was established in 1990 with proceeds from the sale of Montefiore Hospital, a healthcare institution financed and founded by Pittsburgh's Jewish community.
The Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) and its three operating arms—the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative (PRHI), Health Careers Futures (HCF), and the Women's Health Activist Movement Global (WHAMglobal)- offer a unique brand of activist philanthropy to advance healthcare innovation, advocacy, collaboration, and education in the interest of better health. JHF is also the fiscal agent for State HIV/AIDS funding in southwestern Pennsylvania. JHF is funded by public and private sources as well as the JHF endowment. JHF is focused on pertinent health issues for the entire community, including the Jewish community.
Patient Safety Fellowship
The Patient Safety Fellowship prepares participants to apply innovative methods and strategies in safety science, team-based problem-solving, systems thinking, and quality improvement for healthcare settings. Fellows get the opportunity to take a fresh look at promising patient safety solutions from some of the best local and national thought leaders in health care and weigh their merits.
Each iteration of the Patient Safety Fellowship examines patient safety challenges from a unique perspective and presents the material in a fresh and interdisciplinary environment.

Samuel J. Goldstein, Esquire, Scholarship Fund
The Samuel J. Goldstein, Esquire, Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to benefit students from Allegheny County and contiguous counties who are planning to attend or already attend law school in Pennsylvania.

Kevin P. Rimmell Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Kevin P. Rimmell Memorial Scholarship Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation was created to honor the memory of Kevin Rimmell who died tragically at the age of 34. He loved his work in the field of electronics and always credited his education at Pittsburgh Technical College as having prepared him to achieve great things. This scholarship is intended to provide financial support for a student of high academic achievement who has financial need.
Award Type: Renewable Award (subject to committee recommendation).
Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency
Established by law in 1978, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) serves as the justice planning and policymaking agency for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. By bringing together a wide range of experts in the fields of criminal and juvenile justice, victim services, and related professions, PCCD coordinates the collective examination of problems, proposes solutions, and evaluates the impact of those solutions.

Semensky Scholarship Fund
The Semensky Scholarship Fund was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation in honor of the Semensky Family to provide scholarships to students from Allegheny or Fayette counties who are attending Pennsylvania-based colleges and universities.
Bucks County Foundation
Since our founding in 1979, the staff at BCF have been working closely with donors, local leaders, and nonprofit organizations to improve the quality of life in Bucks County. Our work with local charitable organizations helps to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families across the county.
Scholarships
The Bucks County Foundation is proud to support students throughout Bucks County in their pursuit of higher education and attainment of academic, trade and life skills that translate into economic self-sufficiency. Dominic Garofalo Memorial Scholarship
Provides scholarships to students at Bensalem and Neshaminy High Schools who are planning to attend Bucks County Community College. This fund also provides scholarships to students at Girard College High School who plan to major in a science field.
Company culture at Clark Associates emphasizes responsibility, sharing our success with others, and the importance of building strong communities. To help fulfill these goals, Clark Associates Charitable Foundation (CACF) was incorporated in 2001 and provides funding to organizations serving people in need and those delivering positive experiences for youth. CACF supports non-profits operating in and around its business locations and those where our employees volunteer and actively contribute. To date, CACF has distributed over $44 million in charitable contributions.
Organizations must be registered 501c3 charities serving three basic categories: people in need, innovative youth educational programs, and youth programs in music and the arts. People in need represents the largest giving category and includes homelessness, food insecurity, individuals with disabilities, victims of abuse, and people in recovery. Thomas M. Colella & Florence M. Colella Scholarship Fund
The Thomas M. Colella & Florence M. Colella Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide a full tuition, multi-year scholarship for a student from Western Pennsylvania, specifically for a student entering Grove City college for undergraduate studies. The award is a “last-dollar award,” which means the funding released each year will take into account any additional public funding, grants or scholarships for which the student is eligible in that given year.
Award Type: Multi-Year (up to 4 years). Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and degree enrollment at Grove City College.

Nonprofit Security Grant Fund Program
Act 83 of 2019 directs PCCD to administer grants to nonprofit organizations which principally serve individuals, groups, or institutions that are included within a bias motivation category for single bias hate crime incidents as identified by the FBI’s 2017 Hate Crime Statistics publication. The categories include race/ethnicity/ancestry; religion; sexual orientation; disability; gender; and gender identity. Applicants were eligible for security enhancements designed to protect the safety and security of the users of a facility located in the Commonwealth that is owned or operated by the nonprofit organization.
On November 24, 2025, PCCD released the solicitation under this program via SurveyMonkey with the application period being closed on January 12, 2026. Priority consideration in the application review process was given to those nonprofit organizations that indicated that their organization or membership was the victim of a hate-crime and clearly articulated a credible hate-crime threat to their organization or served a population clearly susceptible to a hate-crime.
Funding under this non-competitive announcement is limited to supporting the 191 Nonprofit Security Grant Program applicant agencies as identified in Appendix A (of atteched PDF document).
