Western Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund for Higher Education

The Western Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund for Higher Education was established at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships for graduating high school seniors residing in Allegheny County who are planning on attending a 4-year college or university.

The Wayne Rawley Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide engineering scholarships (either Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) for students enrolled in Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.

Leonard and Annette Silverman PITT Pharmacy School Fund

The Leonard and Annette Silverman University of Pittsburgh Pharmacy School Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to students who are currently enrolled in the Doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. The Fund is in memory of Leonard Silverman, a graduate of the School of Pharmacy in 1951.

The Oliver Rosenberg Educational Trust, established by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, offers scholarships to graduating seniors from various Harrisburg High School campuses, Steelton High-Spire, and Dauphin County Technical School. Miklos Family Trust Fund #1

The Miklos Family Trust Fund #1 was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to fulfill a long-time wish of, and create a perpetual memorial to, Michael V. Miklos, M.D. He was a dedicated Neurosurgeon who established a one-man Department of Neurosurgery at McKeesport Hospital because he felt that his little home town was in need of a Neurosurgeon. Because he was a "one-man department" he was always available to his patients, whatever hour of the day or night. Scholarships are for persons in need of financial help to continue their education for their third or fourth year at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

The Scherman Foundation's Environmental & Climate Justice Program focuses on empowering Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities through grassroots organizing to address climate change and promote racial justice.
