Best Child Welfare Grants in Washington

The BECU Foundation's People Helping People Awards honor exceptional nonprofit work in communities served by BECU. Each year, BECU members can nominate organizations for grants up to $50,000. Eligible nonprofits must be active 501(c)(3) organizations with a direct impact in Idaho, Oregon, South Carolina, or Washington. This initiative highlights the importance of community service and encourages members to recognize local heroes making a difference.

The Victims of Child Abuse and Neglect Initiative, overseen by the Office of Crime Victims Advocacy in Washington State, supports organizations providing essential services to children affected by abuse and neglect. Grants of up to $100,000 per year for two years target gaps in services, emphasizing direct support for victims. Eligible applicants must demonstrate experience in victim services and a commitment to addressing the needs of affected children, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Washington child welfare and child abuse prevention organizations can access funding through Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families to launch or expand primary or secondary child abuse and neglect prevention programs. Grants up to Up to US $47,500 also support building internal program evaluation knowledge and capacity for organizations serving communities with documented unmet needs.
