To foster a collaborative approach to award selection, applicants will participate in a peer review process to assess proposals submitted to this funding opportunity by their fellow applicants. For the submitted application to be considered for funding, completion of all assigned reviews is required.

Following funding determinations, successful community-led applicant teams will be matched with an eligible MCW faculty member from a pre-formed pool developed through the Call for MCW Academic Partner for Community-Led Grants to serve as an additional resource to the funded community-led projects.

AHW is seeking eligible MCW faculty ready to serve as MCW academic partners with pre-defined key roles on funded Community-Led Seed Grants based on the community-identified need for the academic partner and the MCW faculty member’s interest and expertise. AHW’s Community-Led Seed Grants support community-led project teams to address community-identified and community-prioritized health needs through conducting initial exploration and testing innovative ideas to serve as a foundation for future sustainable efforts to improve health and health equity in Wisconsin’s communities. Community-Led Seed Grant applications are submitted independently by eligible community partners and projects approved for funding will be completed during a 12-month period, beginning Jan. 1, 2027, with an optional six-month no cost extension.

The MCW faculty should be able to commit 10% or 20% FTE at the time of funding to engage with one or two Community-Led Seed Grant projects.

Coordinating Care Across Wisconsin: Innovating Healthcare Through Partnership Grants

This five-year grant funding opportunity is intended to catalyze innovative healthcare service models through partnerships across communities, systems, and sectors in rural Wisconsin. Grants support healthcare industry employers in finding workers and help workers prepare for and connect to better, higher-quality, and more family-sustaining jobs.

The four-year program is scheduled to run from Oct. 30, 2026 to Sept. 30, 2030. The current application is for Year 1 of the grant, which will run from Oct. 30, 2026 to Sept. 30, 2027.

The C.D. Besadny Conservation Grants support grassroots conservation and education projects in Wisconsin, with funding ranging from $500 to $5,000. The grants prioritize initiatives that engage marginalized communities, protect rare species, and enhance climate resiliency. Eligible applicants include public charities, governmental units, and accredited educational institutions. The total project budget cannot exceed $10,000, and matching contributions are encouraged. This funding opportunity aims to strengthen connections between people and Wisconsin's natural resources.

The Go Outside Fund aims to connect Wisconsin's youth with nature by providing grants between $100 and $500 for outdoor learning experiences. Eligible applicants include public charities, governmental units, and accredited educational institutions. The fund prioritizes projects that engage children in outdoor activities, facilitating access to nature while aligning with educational standards.
