Originally conceived by Dr Bruce Mesara in 1990 as a means to carry on his philanthropic efforts beyond his lifetime, the Mesara Family Foundation was re-envisioned by his two children Amy and Douglas in 2014, and received their 501(c)(3) status from the IRS in 2015. Amy and Douglas sought out the assistance of their cousins to build upon the charitable principals on their parents, aunts and uncles.

The foundation is headquartered in Kalamazoo Michigan.

Mission

The mission of the Mesara Family Foundation is to honor the philanthropic principles of the Mesara and Pauch families by supporting carefully selected organizations that share similar values. About VHFA

Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) was established in 1974 to finance and promote affordable, safe and decent housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income Vermonters. Each U.S. state has a housing finance agency.

Since its inception, Vermont HFA has helped 31,000 primarily first-time home buyers and their families purchase homes. VHFA provides financing, development and management support, subsidy administration, and tax credits for approximately 9,600 affordable apartments statewide.

The Climate Program Office (CPO) FY2026 Earth System Science and Services Partnership (ESSSP) aims to enhance NOAA's mission through collaborative research and activities. It focuses on understanding changes in Earth's systems and their impacts on ecosystems and communities. Eligible applicants include academic institutions offering doctoral degrees in NOAA-related sciences. The total funding available is approximately $10 million, supporting initiatives that encompass research, data evaluations, and stakeholder engagement.

The R3PEATS Grassroots Rigor Projects, funded by the NIH, aim to enhance research practices through two project types: Metascience and Laboratory Capacity-Building. Metascience projects focus on creating tools and metrics to promote high-quality research, while Laboratory Capacity-Building projects help labs adopt new techniques and share data that influence research outcomes.
