Human Service Transportation Grant 

Purpose

The purpose of the Human Service Transportation Grant is to provide transportation services that meet the special needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities and Alaska Mental Health Trust Beneficiaries for whom public transportation services are unavailable, insufficient, or inappropriate. The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Community Transit Office (ACT) uses a combination of federal Section 5310 and Alaska Mental Health Trust funds to provide awards to nonprofit organizations or public bodies that certify that no nonprofit organization or association is readily available in an area to provide service.

Senior Housing Accessibility Modification Program (Senior Access Program)

NOFA Purpose and General Provisions

Under this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), Alaska Housing Finance Corporation will provide funding to successful respondents to act as a Grantee under the Senior Housing Accessibility Modification Program (Senior Access Program).

Through this Senior Access Program NOFA, Grantees provide and administer grants for qualifying senior households for the purpose of making needed accessibility modifications and life-safety repairs to their homes.

Serve Alaska offers FY 2025 Formula Funded AmeriCorps State and National Grants to support community service and volunteering. These grants empower eligible organizations to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based initiatives, enhancing civic engagement and addressing pressing community challenges. Participants may receive a living allowance and benefits, leading to the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for educational expenses. The program underscores the importance of service in fostering stronger communities across Alaska.

The Foster Foundation Grant supports organizations in the Pacific Northwest that align with priority funding issues such as social services, education, medical research, and community engagement. The foundation seeks to cultivate long-term partnerships and is committed to improving community life through various initiatives. Eligible organizations must hold a 501(c)(3) status and address one of the foundation's priority issues while ensuring that funds are used within the designated geographic reach.
