The Turtle Trackers - Linda Zambelli Family Scholarship Fund, established in 2025 by the Turtle Trackers Board, honors Linda Zambelli's legacy through scholarships for students pursuing higher education in Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences. This initiative supports high school seniors from Beaufort and Jasper Counties, ensuring they have opportunities to excel academically while fostering a commitment to marine conservation. The fund is managed by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, which has invested over $125 million in local communities.

The Experiential Opportunities Career Development Award, funded by the Society of Toxicology, provides up to $1,000 to support underrepresented undergraduate and graduate students, as well as postbaccalaureate researchers, in enhancing their education and career development in toxicology. Created in 2009, this initiative aims to promote diversity in the field. Four awards may be granted at each deadline, with funds supporting activities occurring by July 31 of the current fiscal year.

The Teacher Professional Development Grant (9-12) supports classroom teachers in grades 9-12 by enhancing their mathematics teaching skills. This initiative, backed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, aims to elevate educational standards and improve student learning outcomes. Eligible applicants include teachers with at least three years of experience in this grade range. The grant focuses on professional development activities completed within a year, fostering a community of proficient mathematics educators.

Better World Scholarship Fund

The scholarship encourages women to acquire a degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field. The donor’s bachelor’s degree is in mathematics, followed 15 years later with a master’s degree in business administration. Her degree in mathematics provided opportunities for jobs in software development and application, medical research, technical documentation, organizational education and training, scientific research, and business. Her career was challenging, dynamic, encouraged creativity, never boring, offered schedule flexibility that allowed her to parent her four children, provided career choice independence, and was lucrative. The Community Foundation of the North State manages many scholarship funds that are awarded to graduating high school seniors as well as students already in an undergraduate program. Some scholarships were started by families or individuals; others by businesses or organizations. All scholarships share one important focus: helping young people reach their educational goals.

REU Powering Redding’s Future Scholarship Fund

Redding Electric Utility (REU) is proud to offer students in the Redding community awards from the REU Powering Redding’s Future Scholarship, Program. The purpose of REU’s Program is to identify and support local students dreaming and planning to attend community college, a 4-year college/university, or technical school. The primary goals of REU’s Powering Redding’s Future program is to encourage Redding’s youth to consider a college/university or technical school education that may lead to career opportunities in the electric utility industry, preferably with REU. This program will award up to $50,000 in scholarships for local students each year.

All REU scholarships are offered to Redding residents.

EPSCoR RII Research Fellows Limited Competition

EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows directly aligns with the NSF EPSCoR strategic goal of establishing sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professional development pathways that advance workforce development and effects engagement in STEM at national and global levels. EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows provides awards to build research capacity in institutions and transform the career trajectories of investigators and further develop their individual research potential through collaborations with investigators from the nation's premier private, governmental, or academic research institutions and/or centers. The fellowship provides opportunities to establish strong collaborations through extended or periodic collaborative visits to a selected host site. Through collaborative research activities with the host site, Fellows will be able to learn new techniques, develop new collaborations, advance existing partnerships, benefit from access to unique equipment and facilities, and/or shift their research toward potentially transformative new directions. The experiences gained through the fellowships are intended to have lasting impacts that will enhance the Fellows' research trajectories well beyond the award period. The benefits to the Fellows are also expected to improve the research capacity of their institutions and jurisdictions more broadly.

• Interested in pursuing a career in engineering, science or technology
• Based on good moral character and student’s overall performance as to academic ability and standing, extracurricular activities, success in dealing with life’s challenges in individual circumstances and financial need

This FOA is intended for proposals related to basic and applied research in the STEM categories, and not related to the development of a specific system or hardware procurement.The proposal submission process has two stages:I. Applicants are encouraged to submit a white paper first to Grants@NPS.edu, ; andII. Applicants must submit a full proposal through Grants.gov (do not submit white papers through Grants.gov, only full proposals)Applicants are encouraged to submit a White Paper in advance of a Full Proposal to minimize the labor and other costs associated with the production of detailed full proposals that have little chance of being selected for funding. Based on an assessment of the white papers, the responsible Research Program Officer will provide informal feedback notification to the prospective awardees to encourage or discourage submission proposals. The Research Program Officer may also, on occasion, provide feedback encouraging re-work to strengthen a proposal. White Papers may be submitted at any time during the open period of this FOA. A separate White Paper is required for each research proposal.

Scholarship eligibility requires students to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year public or private institution of higher learning. All scholarships are for full-time students, unless otherwise noted. Renewable awards are for 4 years of undergraduate study and cannot be used for post graduate coursework; all awards are paid directly to the school or may be used for book reimbursement.

Students pursuing college studies in industrial arts, technology, construction, manufacturing, or related STEM fields in the U.S., especially Kansas/Midwest residents with low to modest income, may be eligible for this scholarship supporting tuition. Greater Kansas City Community Foundation prioritizes applicants with a strong work ethic inside and outside the classroom.

Graduates or graduating seniors pursuing STEM majors who are connected to Wenatchee High School or Westside High School can receive scholarship support for college studies. Community Foundation of North Central Washington provides this W.R. “Bill” Asplund Scholarship, which may benefit Arkansas students who meet these school and STEM field criteria.

American Indian and Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students in Arkansas pursuing STEM, environment, energy, or cultural sustainability degrees at accredited U.S. institutions can receive $5,000 need-based scholarships. Native Forward Scholars Fund requires a 3.0 GPA and documented Tribal affiliation, supporting students preparing for the renewable energy workforce and related STEM fields.

Arkansas Indigenous STEM and trade students can access funding through the American Indian Science and Engineering Society for the Indian Motorcycle + Polaris Trade Scholarship. Awards of US $2,000 support full-time AISES student members in accredited certificate or vocational programs, including fields like welding, automotive or diesel technology, clean energy, IT, and related areas.

Female high school seniors pursuing STEM or medical majors at accredited nonprofit colleges or vocational schools can apply for the Erie County Community Foundation’s Zonta Club of Greater Sandusky High School STEM Scholarship Fund. Eligible applicants must reside in Erie, Huron, or Ottawa Counties in Ohio and may find this especially relevant if interested in STEM education pathways similar to those in Arkansas.

Arkansas American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing full-time STEM degrees can access funding through Native Forward Scholars Fund, with awards ranging from US $100 - US $30,000 per academic year. Eligible applicants must be enrolled at an accredited institution and demonstrate Tribal affiliation through a Tribal Eligibility Certificate.

Arkansas students pursuing STEM or arts-related post-secondary education may be eligible for the Dr. Alice M. Hudder–Richard T. Molder Post-Secondary Scholarship Fund, which supports high school seniors entering college. Erie Community Foundation gives preference to applicants with financial need, strong work ethic, and plans to study science, math, business, art, or music.

Graduating high school seniors in Arkansas planning to pursue STEM degrees can receive scholarship support for higher education through the AIAA Foundation and Club for the Future’s Resilient Student Scholarship. This U.S.-wide award provides US $10,000 plus aerospace mentoring to students entering STEM programs who have faced challenges and can demonstrate financial need.

AAUW branches and state organizations in Arkansas designing or running hands-on STEM programs for girls in grades K–12 can access funding via American Association of University Women. Grants offer up to US $10,000 to support skill-building, confidence and STEM identity, college and career preparation, and mentoring connections with women in STEM fields.

Arkansas nonprofits and educational institutions offering STEM programs for girls in grades K–12 can access funding through American Association of University Women to run community-based STEM education projects. Grants up to Up to US $50,000 support hands-on learning, mentorship with women in STEM, family engagement, and confidence-building experiences, with emphasis on historically underrepresented communities in the U.S. and its territories.

The Carter Creech Scholarship offers financial support up to $8,000 for graduating seniors of Troy Buchanan High School in Missouri who aim to pursue a four-year degree. Eligible candidates must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA, achieve an ACT score of 27 or higher, and rank in the top 10% of their class. This scholarship encourages academic excellence and allows recipients to reapply annually for up to $32,000 over four years, fostering educational opportunities in the community.

The Ralph M. Knight Chemistry & Engineering Scholarship, established in 2010 by Nancy Knight, honors her late husband, Ralph. This scholarship is aimed at full-time seniors in Catholic high schools within the Diocese of Phoenix who are practicing Catholics and U.S. citizens. Awardees receive a one-time $5,000 towards freshman-year tuition at a four-year college or university, provided they major in chemistry or engineering.

The Dr. Jim and Betsy Bobenhouse Scholarship, established in 2026, supports graduating high school seniors from Lancaster County, Nebraska, who plan to pursue a degree in education or healthcare at a Nebraska college or university. The scholarship aims to encourage students with a GPA of 3.0 or above who are actively involved in extracurricular activities and demonstrate financial need. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Lincoln Community Foundation to foster educational opportunities in the community.
