This initiative aims to enhance creative education across the states, excluding AK, HI, MA, MI, NY, and WI. Applications received by July 15 will be notified by November 30.

The Indian Environmental General Assistance Program (GAP), administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), provides crucial funding to tribal governments and intertribal consortia for developing environmental protection programs. Since 1992, GAP has focused on remediation of pollutants and, more recently, supports climate adaptation initiatives. The Higher Foundation Scholarship provides $2,000 in merit-based financial assistance to Georgia college students, supporting their essential needs. Recipients are chosen based on academic achievement, career development, and commitment to community service. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an accredited Georgia institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have a year of volunteer experience. This scholarship aims to empower students to thrive in their educational journeys.

21 st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Program

Pre-Screened External OrganizationsIn accordance with Title IV, Part B, 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) is required to provide a list of prescreened external organizations, as described under section 4203(a)(11). Therefore, GaDOE is providing an opportunity for interested non-profit organizations in Georgia to submit an external organization profile. By collecting, screening, and publishing a list of external non-profit organizations that have expressed interest, the potential for partnerships with current and future 21st CCLC programs is more easily realized.

Voter Mobilization & Civic Innovation Fund

This fund is designed for organizations that are deeply rooted in community, testing bold or emerging strategies, and able to adapt quickly to changing on-the-ground conditions. The Southern Voter Mobilization & Innovation Fund is a 12-36 month, election-cycle investment designed to support organizations that are: 

• Closest to communities facing the most barriers to political participation
• Testing bold, creative, or unproven civic engagement strategies
• Shifting power to local groups participating in civic engagement
• Responding rapidly to on-the-ground conditions during the 2026 midterms 

Tier 2: Context-Dependent Areas

While we have identified priority counties based on data and historic investment patterns (Tier 1), we remain open to proposals serving other counties within the five Southern states.  

For work proposed outside of previously identified priority areas, we invite applicants to share:  

• Why this geography is urgent or strategically important at this moment 
• What gaps or opportunities exist that may not be reflected in traditional metrics 
• How this work complements- not duplicates of existing investments 

The Accelerated Career Education (ACE) Grant Program provides financial support to Georgia public high school students in grades 10 to 12. This initiative helps students graduate through the Accelerated Career Diploma program while allowing enrollment in TCSG institutions for various applied science and technical certificates. Funding covers tuition, mandatory fees, and books for up to 15 credit hours per term, ensuring students have the resources needed to pursue high-demand careers.

The Zell Miller Scholarship is a merit-based financial aid option for Georgia residents, requiring a minimum high school GPA of 3.70 and SAT score of 1200 or equivalent ACT score. This scholarship supports students enrolled in eligible Georgia colleges and universities while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.3. To apply, students must meet citizenship, residency, and academic progress requirements, ensuring they remain in good standing with financial aid programs.

The MagMutual Foundation Grant supports 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to enhancing healthcare access and diversity. It funds initiatives like pro-bono medical care for underserved populations, scholarships for minority medical students, and support for healthcare workers facing challenges. The foundation aims to maximize its positive influence in communities by advocating for policyholders and promoting meaningful changes in medical practices. Eligible applicants must have a policyholder's recommendation and be a registered non-profit.

The Elevance Health Foundation's Behavioral Health Grant aims to address significant challenges in mental health and substance use disorders. With a commitment of up to $90 million over three years, the Foundation seeks partnerships with nonprofits to enhance treatment access, promote prevention strategies, and alleviate loneliness among affected individuals. This initiative emphasizes innovative solutions and measurable outcomes, targeting both national and local programs, particularly in states with pressing health disparities.

Jim and Dee Snow Optimist Scholarship

The Jim & Dee Snow Optimist Scholarship was established in 2013 by the Gainesville Evening Optimist Club. Jim and Dee Snow spent their entire working lives as educators, dedicating themselves to encouraging and helping young people. One $1,000 award is available in 2026. Special consideration will be given to students with an emphasis on service to the community.

Gilead North America Grants support community-informed programs that enhance healthcare for vulnerable populations. Grants are available for innovative projects addressing HIV, liver diseases, oncology, and inflammatory diseases. Applications are invited from tax-exempt nonprofits based in the U.S. who focus on health equity and community engagement. Gilead prioritizes funding for projects that demonstrate a strong capability to deliver impactful outcomes, helping to eliminate barriers to healthcare and improve access to essential services.

The Southern SARE: Producer Grant supports farmers in conducting their own research projects to develop sustainable agricultural practices. Established in 1994, the program aims to enhance farmer profitability, promote responsible land use, and improve community quality of life. By focusing on areas like organic agriculture, sustainable marketing, and alternative crops, the grant empowers farmers to address production challenges and share valuable insights with others in the farming community, fostering a culture of sustainability and innovation.

The Georgia Outdoor Learning Demonstration (GOLD) Grant aims to enhance outdoor learning for Georgia's PK-12 public school students. Funded by the Georgia Department of Education and the Environmental Education Alliance, this initiative offers grants ranging from $500 to $5000. A minimum of 18 grants will be awarded to support professional development for educators, improve schoolyards, provide supplies for outdoor learning, and facilitate field trips, ensuring engaging, high-quality educational experiences.

The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation offers health grants aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Georgia. It accepts applications year-round, with deadlines on February 1 and August 15 for board consideration. The Foundation prioritizes funding initiatives that improve health systems, access to quality care, and support for underserved populations in Atlanta. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) public charities operating in Georgia to be eligible. The Foundation values collaboration and sustainable programs.

The Georgia Military College (GMC) State Service Scholarship Loan offers a service cancelable loan program to strengthen Georgia's National Guard. Created by the Georgia Student Finance Commission, it provides outstanding students with a two-year scholarship loan, covering tuition, fees, and more. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and residents of specific states, have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and demonstrate intent to enter Baptist ministry. This fund has assisted thousands of students since its establishment in 1941.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation offers Adult Literacy Grants to support organizations providing essential literacy services to adults.
