The MNA Associate Member Scholarships provide financial assistance to MNA associate members who are typically undergraduate nursing students.  Fund provides higher education scholarships to deserving young men and women.

The Benny Summerlin Scholarship Fund, managed by the Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia, offers financial assistance to deserving students from Franklin County High School pursuing undergraduate degrees. The Hooker Educational Fund Community Scholarships support deserving undergraduate students in Henry County or Martinsville, Virginia. Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP)

WHAT IS NSGP?

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) improves and increases the physical/cybersecurity and facility/target hardening of nonprofit organizations’ facilities at risk of a terrorist of other extremist attack, ultimately safeguarding the lives and property of the American people. NSGP integrates the preparedness activities of nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist or other extremist attack with broader state and local preparedness efforts.

The NSGP provides funds to meet the following three objectives:

• Enhance equipment and conduct security-related activities to improve the security posture of nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist or other extremist attack.

• Address and close capability gaps that are identified in individual nonprofit organization Vulnerability Assessments via funding spent on Planning, Equipment, and Training and Exercises that aim to enhance the protection of soft targets and crowded places.

• Strengthen relationships across non-profit organization, state, local, and territorial homeland security agencies for a whole community approach to preparedness.

There are two funding sources appropriated for nonprofit organizations: NSGP - Urban Area (NSGP-UA); and NSGP - State (NSGP-S)

NSGP - Urban Area (NSGP-UA)

NSGP-UA funds nonprofit organizations located within designated high-risk urban areas. Under NSGP-UA, each urban area will receive an allocation for nonprofit organizations within the designated high-risk urban areas.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I - Youth Program Services

Provides services to in-school youth ages 14-21, and out-of-school youth ages 16-24 that are intended to help youth focus on career pathways, longer-term academic and occupational learning opportunities, and provide long-term comprehensive service strategies.

Successful applicants will expand opportunities for all Montanans to create, participate in, and appreciate Montana’s wide range of cultural resources. Applicants may be prioritized to equalize awards across geographic area and disciplines.

The Public Value Partnerships (PVP) Program, initiated by the Montana Arts Council, aims to enhance the artistic and educational operations of Montana's non-profit arts organizations. By fostering community engagement and providing operating support, the program encourages strong management practices and high-quality programming. Mini Grants: Supporting Projects for Older Adults

The Annual Governor’s Conference on Aging, sponsored by the Governor's Advisory Council on Aging (GAC), supports rural communities with populations fewer than 10,000 through a mini-grant program. Designed to aid communities with limited resources in meeting the needs of older adults, these grants range from $200 to $1,000. They assist in various capacities, such as providing training materials, health equipment, kitchen supplies for meal preparation, and development of senior support services.

Funding for these mini-grants is garnered through sponsorships and a silent auction held during the annual conference. Projects completed with grant funds must be documented with photos and financial records, and a report to the GAC is required by year-end.

Applicants should demonstrate collaboration with the aging network. Partnerships between the public and private sectors are encouraged.

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Program

To provide safe, decent, and sanitary housing for homeless individuals, as well as connect eligible individuals with the supportive services they need to improve their situation and maintain permanent housing.
