The Community Possible Grant Program by U.S. Bank aims to foster economic and workforce advancement, as well as safe and affordable housing. By partnering with 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, the program seeks to drive lasting change within communities through collaborative grantmaking. Priority is given to organizations that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and that address multiple pillars of work, home, and play. Funded by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) program works to assist residential domestic violence programs in providing emergency shelter to survivors of domestic violence and their dependents. The goal of the program is to help offset the cost of certain operational expenses to include housing, food and other basic necessities in order to give domestic violence shelters more flexibility and the potential to expand services in other areas, based on their needs.

ICJI awards SSBG dollars to supplement federal Family Violence and Prevention Services Act (FVPSA) grants and state Domestic Violence Prevention and Treatment (DVPT) grants, supporting comprehensive initiatives that address the needs of domestic violence victims in Indiana. SSBG funding is distributed to emergency domestic violence programs that provide emergency shelter services in the form of overnight shelter and congregate meals.

A “shelter night” is considered a unit rate for the indirect and direct costs expended per night, per client in the shelter facility. SSBG funding is the only funding source provided by ICJI that is solely dedicated to supporting domestic violence programs’ emergency shelter operations.

The Huntington Impact Investment Philanthropy Grant Program aims to strengthen communities by supporting nonprofit organizations that enhance self-sufficiency and social equality. With a focus on areas such as community revitalization, affordable housing, and economic development, the program prioritizes initiatives that serve low- and moderate-income individuals. Organizations with IRS tax-exempt status can apply for funding to address critical community needs, fostering a more equitable environment for all.

The Statewide Capital Projects Initiative Grant provides essential funding to nonprofit organizations in Indiana, aiming to enhance health and human services. With a total of $80 million available in matching capital grants, the initiative supports projects that improve community facilities. It offers two funding tiers, catering to varying project complexities and encourages partnerships for successful implementation. All applicants must demonstrate a commitment to delivering vital services, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to benefit local communities.
