The Don Miler "Spirit" Award

In 2009, the JoCo Bar Board of Directors created the Don Miller “Spirit” Award. Named for Don Miller, a longtime friend, colleague, and honorary member of JoCo Bar, the award recognizes the optimistic spirit he demonstrated throughout his life and the way he inspired and encouraged others.

The Johnson County Bar Foundation maintains an annual grant program to support legal-related programs and charitable organizations in Kansas City. Since 1988, we’ve given out more than $2 million to 30+ carefully selected grantees and to local charities.

The Manhattan Community Health Foundation (MCHF) is committed to enhancing health and wellness in Manhattan, Kansas, by funding innovative projects that address critical health needs. The Community Grants program focuses on improving healthcare access for underserved populations, tackling social determinants of health, and promoting mental health initiatives. By partnering with local organizations, MCHF aims to create sustainable solutions that significantly improve health outcomes in the community, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.
