Casey’s Donation Requests support vital community needs in Education, Hunger, and Community Servants. Eligible 501(c)3 organizations within Casey’s communities can apply through the online Donation Request Form. Requests are reviewed continuously, with feedback provided via email within one month. Brian's Fund Scholarship

Brian’s Fund Scholarship will be awarded to an eighth grader who has been accepted at one of the following Kansas City Catholic high schools: Bishop Miege High School, Bishop Ward, Cristo Rey, Notre Dame De Sion, Rockhurst High School, St. James Academy, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Pius X, St. Teresa’s Academy or St Thomas Aquinas.

Frederic S. Lee Heterodox Economics Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarships for tuition and fees, up to three classes per semester, for doctoral heterodox economics students.

The fund will not provide scholarship aid for dissertation credit hours or for credit hours that are not directly relevant for the completion of the doctoral program’s course work.

Scholarships will be awarded prior to the fall and spring semesters on an annual basis.

Scholarships are not automatically renewed; however, previous recipients may reapply.

Nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in Kansas seeking funds for durable items to support education, youth services, or civic programs can apply for the MFA Oil Foundation Grant, with awards up to US $2,000. Helen Anita and William E. Evans, Jr., M.D. Scholarship Fundicate

Dr. Bill, as he was affectionately known, practiced family medicine in the Greater Kansas City area all of his working life. He was ably assisted by his devoted wife (Helen) Anita for most of that time. Since Dr. Bill was a disabled veteran, he had occasion to frequent the VA hospital and held a special place in his heart for numerous employees of the hospital. His burning desire was to reward those special people who had administered to him by setting up this program to offer monetary assistance to their children. The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarships to the children of employees at the Kansas City VA Medical Center who plan to attend summer camp.

Consideration will be given to an applicant’s financial need, extracurricular involvement and past academic performance. Scholarship assistance shall be awarded primarily to applicants who wish to use the assistance to attend a summer camp in the Greater Kansas City area, although camps outside the Kansas City area may also be considered.

Scholarship recipients are required to submit a written reflection following the completion of the camp, which describes his/her experiences and specifically details what the recipient learned from this opportunity.

The scholarship is non-renewable. Previous applicants and past recipients of the scholarship may reapply each year.

The Kansas Promise Act Scholarship provides financial support for students enrolled in high-demand, high-wage programs at eligible two-year colleges in Kansas. Created to encourage local employment, this last-dollar scholarship covers tuition, fees, and materials after other financial aid. Applicants must be Kansas residents and commit to living and working in the state for two years following graduation. With funding capped at 68 credit hours or $20,000, it aims to facilitate education in crucial fields such as healthcare and technology.

The Kansas National Guard Educational Master's for Enhanced Readiness and Global Excellence (EMERGE) program offers financial support for tuition and fees for up to 15 credit hours per semester for members pursuing advanced degrees at Kansas institutions. Applicants must maintain good standing in the guard and meet GPA requirements. A service obligation follows degree completion, ensuring a commitment to the Kansas National Guard after receiving assistance.

The Kansas Office of Apprenticeship Project Grant aims to enhance the state's workforce by supporting Joint Apprenticeship Training Councils, educational institutions, and businesses that can demonstrate a commitment to increasing apprenticeship opportunities. The Kansas Nongame Wildlife Improvement Program, also known as the Chickadee Checkoff, is a line appearing on the Kansas Individual Tax Forms. Since 1980, it has provided Kansans an opportunity to contribute to nongame wildlife programs and be a true force for nature in Kansas. The Chickadee Checkoff program seeks proposals for projects that address needs, either specifically identified in this announcement, or more generally described in the revised 2022 Kansas State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP). 

The Dr. Ralph and Marian Falk Medical Research Trust – Falk Catalyst Awards support high-risk, high-reward biomedical research with up to $350,000 in funding over one to two years. CSBG Discretionary Grant

Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) establishes guidelines for the awarding of discretionary grants as authorized by the Kansas Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). The primary intended use of the grant funds awarded to Kansas and to subgrantees is “to provide assistance to local communities in Kansas, working through a network of Community Action Agencies and other neighborhood-based organizations, for the reduction of poverty, the revitalization of low-income communities, and the empowerment of low-income families and individuals in rural and urban areas to become fully self-sufficient.”

CSBG Purpose and Goals

• Promoting maximum participation of people and communities with low-income
• Leveraging resources of other anti-poverty programs
• Strengthening community capabilities for planning or coordinating resources for local needs and conditions of poverty
• Using innovative approaches to address causes and conditions of poverty
• Measuring impact to ensure accountability and ongoing data-driven quality improvement

Applicants are advised that direct services funded by CSBG are restricted to Kansas residents. with household incomes that fall at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
