The HLP Hamakua Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that was formed to benefit the people of Hamakua. Taka Domingo was one of the original board members when HLP was established after the closure of sugar. He was an electrician and County Councilman representing the Hamakua District. The Taka Domingo HLP Vocational Scholarship was established after his death in August 2016.

There remains a scientific gap in understanding of the role of anti-TFPImediated hemostatic rebalancing in the context of inherited or non-hemophilic bleeding disorders. This competitive grant program encourages competitive submissions focsed on generating preclinical/foundational data exploring the therapeutic potential and mechanisms of TFPI modulation in bleeding disorders other than hemophilia.

Susan G. Komen Career Catalyst Research (CCR) Grants foster promising breast cancer researchers who are in the early stages of their faculty careers by providing support for up to three years of “protected time” for research career development under the guidance of a Mentor Committee. We seek to support those who will emerge as the next key leaders in the fight against breast cancer.
CCR Research Focus: Research projects must be hypothesis-driven, breast cancer-focused studies. They may be considered basic, translational, clinical and/or population science in nature and should align with Komen’s research priorities and mission to save lives from breast cancer.

Notice of Funding Opportunity: School Psychologist Services Grant
Introduction and Background
The Nevada Department of Education (NDE) is issuing a competitive Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) under the School Psychologist Services Grant, funded through Nevada’s federal School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) award. This subaward competition is designed to increase the number of credentialed school psychologists serving students in high-need LEAs through recruitment, retention, and service delivery strategies aligned with early intervention and intensive mental health supports. Eligible applicants must demonstrate need, describe how they meet the high-need LEA criteria, provide current local workforce data, and propose a feasible plan to increase access to school psychology services within the grant period. Awards will be made through a competitive review process consistent with federal SBMHS requirements and Nevada subaward procedures.
ASPCA Reimagining Racers: Grants for Adopting Out Retired Racehorses Grant
ASPCA Right Horse Adoption Partners, ASPCA Right Horse Industry Partners, and organizations actively participating in the warm-up ring (defined as groups that are actively working to achieve the 13 criteria for Partnership and are participating on myrighthorse.org) are invited to apply for a grant to support an increase in capacity and/or efficiency of programs aimed at adopting out retired Thoroughbred racehorses.
Funding requests for this grant initiative should focus on:

Grant Amounts
Grants will generally range from $10,000-$40,000, with a maximum individual grant amount of $60,000. The total funding amount available for this grant opportunity is $200,000.
Eligibility
ASPCA Right Horse Adoption Partners, ASPCA Right Horse Industry Partners, and active Warm-Up Ring participants (defined as groups that are actively working to achieve the 13 criteria for Partnership and are participating on myrighthorse.org) whose mission or operations focus significantly on serving retired Thoroughbred racehorses are eligible to apply for this grant opportunity. Adoption organizations must be up to date on reporting data biannually to the Equine Welfare Data Collective (EWDC).
