The Food Allergy Fund is the leading nonprofit dedicated to funding food allergy research. FAF's grants support the creation of new treatments that will address the root causes of food allergies. Through our ground-breaking research and unique thought leadership summits, we accelerate innovation to find solutions.

Food Allergy Fund Drug Repurposing Program

Grants will be awarded to research teams that propose innovative approaches to repurposing therapeutics for the prevention or treatment of food allergy. We would welcome proposals identifying either an existing FDA-approved drug or drug in development with human safety data that has a rationale for the prevention of food allergies, prevention or treatment of food induced anaphylaxis, or an improved method for maintaining food allergic tolerance in previously allergic patients.

We are particularly interested in either small molecule drugs or biologicals that have well defined mechanisms of action that provide a scientific rationale for use in food allergies. Examples could involve drugs such as enzyme inhibitors or immunomodulators with specific activities that lend themselves to alter intestinal, mucosal or immune function.

The Alexandra Hallock Capacity Building Grant for Small Nonprofits, established in 2024, honors the legacy of Alexandra Hallock by supporting small nonprofits focused on human rights, women's empowerment, and LGBTQ+ causes. This grant offers a one-time $20,000 unrestricted funding along with pro-bono capacity building support. It aims to strengthen organizational infrastructure and governance, ensuring impactful community engagement. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)3 nonprofits with revenue under $400,000, operating for at least one year, and based in the U.S.

The National Education Association's Collective Bargaining and Member Advocacy Department offers grants to support affiliates in creating student-centered initiatives through collective bargaining and advocacy. These grants aim to unite educators with communities, enhance transparency in negotiations, and advocate for students' rights, focusing on improving education funding, working conditions, and student outcomes. Affiliates can apply for funding to develop strategies that foster collaboration and promote positive learning environments.

The Karim Thomas Ziyad Memorial Engineering Scholarship Fund supports students from Washington County or nearby areas pursuing a career in engineering, especially in Mechanical Engineering. Faculty nominations are required, ensuring deserving candidates receive recognition for their academic contributions, thereby fostering a vibrant academic community within British studies.

The Judith R. Walkowitz Article Prize, awarded annually by the North American Conference on British Studies, recognizes the best published article addressing gender and sexuality in British culture. This prize honors Professor Walkowitz’s significant contributions to the fields of gender and cultural studies. Open to scholars in North America, it encourages diverse perspectives across disciplines and time periods, with a cash award of $250 to support ongoing research and scholarship in British Studies.

Kichler, Tony and Gertrude Scholarship Fund

For high school seniors or college students who reside in Green or Noble TOWNSHIPS (not county) in Noble County who are pursuing a college education in music, medicine or religion. One-time payment of $3,500. May reapply.

The Actions of Public Witness Grant, offered by the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program, provides matching grants of up to $1,500 to Unitarian Universalist congregations engaging in timely actions of public witness. This initiative supports efforts in social and environmental justice, encouraging congregations to mobilize during critical moments. The Northeast Sea Grant Consortium and NOAA’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center invite proposals to explore the interactions between fishing communities and offshore wind development in the U.S. Northeast. The Philip W. Sheridan-Tighe and Bond Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, supports graduating high school seniors from Hampden and Hampshire Counties pursuing civil engineering at a four-year college. Applicants can receive up to $3,000 in scholarships, which may influence college financial aid. Eligibility extends to students enrolling in accredited post-secondary schools in the U.S., including those from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
