Native Youth Wellness Grant

The Native Youth Wellness grant is held within the Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s (NMF) Children and Families Program. This funding serves as an opportunity to address youth wellness and mental health in Indian Country. Approximately $500,000 in funding will be allocated to tax-exempt organizations, local non-profits, and tribal governments serving the following tribal nations: the Leech Lake Band Ojibwe, the Red Lake Nation, and the White Earth Nation. The average project funding will be approximately $25,000- $75,000. The maximum/minimum award amount will be reviewed on a per-proposal basis.

The key audience of these funds are youth and young adults aged 0-24 years old, including children, youth, and families. This includes youth, families, and young adults that are both registered tribal members, and non-registered tribal members that selfidentify as Indigenous.

Society of Hospital Medicine Equipment Grant

The SHM Global and Rural Health Foundation brings our mission directly to patients in rural and underserved regions of the United States and abroad by offering small travel and equipment grants to hospital-based clinicians and practice administrators involved in this work. The Foundation also aims to amplify the stories of inequitable patient care and celebrate hospital medicine professionals enhancing outcomes.

Equipment grants will be awarded to recipients working in a not-for-profit hospital setting. A letter from hospital or health system leadership, confirming institutional support for the purchase, is required. The equipment purchase date must be in the future (i.e., after the application submission). Award amounts will vary based on need.

We're proud to support the academic goals of our young members and family members of our Sharonview team. Each year, we partner with the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation to honor deserving students with scholarship money to help with the costs of their higher education needs.

Any applicant that does not receive a scholarship award from Sharonview is automatically entered in the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation's scholarship pool.

Paul Paliyenko, who served on Sharonview’s Board of Directors for more than 25 years, felt it was the Credit Union’s first duty to serve its members. He insisted that it was the responsibility of the Credit Union to create not only the best returns for its members, but to establish a trusting relationship with them. Paliyenko’s drive to care for the member is why we honor his memory with the Sharonview Cares Scholarship.
