The William F. The Don Carano Legacy Scholarship

The Don Carano Legacy Scholarship was established to provide support for dependents of Caesars Entertainment Team Members who are a graduating high school senior or who are enrolled in a college or advanced learning program. The qualifying Team Member must be a Management Grade 14 or below, have minimum two (2) years of full-time service with the company, and be in good standing with no written discipline at the time of application.

Awards will be a fixed amount of $5,000; recipients may reapply for up to three (3) additional years. Scholarship awards will be distributed to any college, university, trade school, or degree-granting program for the student's benefit upon confirmation of enrollment, and upon completing and signing a scholarship acceptance agreement.

The Finchum Family Scholarship

The Finchum Family Scholarship is designed to support students who are graduates of high schools in Douglas, Carson City, Lyon, Storey, Chuchill, Pershing, Humboldt, or Lander counties or who have received their high school equivalency/GED in Nevada, and plan to attend or are currently attending a trade or vocational school, community college, or 2- or 4- year institution in state or out of state. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate significant financial need, those with barriers or hardships that have made it difficult to attend school, and non-traditional (trade/vocational studies) students. This is a one-time award of $1,000 or more, with the potential to be renewed with reapplication. Students may reapply throughout their time in college, but can only receive the scholarship for a total of two years.

The Orlo M. Kintz and Stanley M. Kintz Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The Orlo M. Kintz and Stanley M. Kintz Memorial Scholarship Endowment is named after the mother and brother of Rosalie Quesnoy, a passionate educator who taught 7th grade math in Palo Alto, CA. She was a teacher who went the extra mile for her students, and now whose legacy will be carried forward for northern Nevada students pursuing their postsecondary education. This scholarship is designed for students with a high level of academic achievement and community involvement, who plan to attend a school that has a strong program for their chosen major. Students must have a clearly demonstrated financial need. This scholarship is for students who plan to attend a college or technical program that is one, two, or four years. Multi-year scholarships may be awarded.

To provide financial support for scholarships as recommended by the South Dakota Farm Bureau.

The South Dakota Farm Bureau is committed to supporting agriculture across our state. This scholarship is designed to honor young people with a passion for agriculture and a dedication to their rural communities. Willis H. Jondahl Memorial Fund Scholarship

This fund is created to promote continuing educational opportunities for obstetrical nursing personnel of Cameron County hospitals, and midwifery education or training to promote the best possible nursing care for obstetrical patients.

The course(s)/seminar must be from an accredited source, offering  CEU’s, and must be expected to reasonably improve the employee’s  performance in the OB/GYN area.

Must achieve a grade "C" or above on graded courses and must file  documentation of grade(s) received with the Jondahl Fund Committee. 

For non-graded courses (seminars/workshops) documentation of  attendance must be filed, and CEUs earned.

The Spirit of Sioux Falls Scholarship supports college students pursuing business degrees while emphasizing community engagement and academic excellence. Eligible applicants must reside in Lincoln or Minnehaha County, South Dakota, and maintain full-time enrollment in appropriate programs. The scholarship aims to inspire philanthropy and improve local quality of life through educational advancement. The Vaccinated & Loved Campaign Grant, offered by Petco Love, supports organizations that provide free vaccine services to communities in need. Eligible applicants include 501c3 nonprofits, government agencies, and invited for-profit companies with a nonprofit purpose related to animal welfare. However, individuals and organizations outside the U.S. or not focused on animal welfare are ineligible for funding. This initiative aims to enhance public health and animal welfare through vaccination efforts.

The Catalyst Award for Innovative Research Approaches for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) provides $300,000 in funding to U.S. researchers exploring novel treatments and understanding of AMD. This initiative, co-funded by partners such as the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, encourages high-risk, high-gain research that could lead to significant advancements in AMD therapies. Each award is designed to support innovative projects that are not yet in clinical trials, fostering groundbreaking work in vision science.

The Disney Award for Amblyopia Research, funded by Research To Prevent Blindness Inc, aims to advance research in amblyopia diagnosis and treatment. Grants of up to $150,000 will support exceptional ophthalmic scientists conducting significant research. Eligible nominees include U.S. researchers from various academic ranks, with a focus on independent research. CARTA Scholarship Endowment Fund - Liability

Central Alaska Retired Teachers' Association Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in education or working towards certifications that will enable them to become teachers or administrators in the public schools.

The Medical Student Eye Research Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for medical students to dedicate a year to research in ophthalmology, focusing on any vision-related topic. Supported by Research to Prevent Blindness and other partners, the fellowship includes a $30,000 grant and potential additional funding for relocation. Eligible candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be nominated by RPB-supported Chairs. The program aims to promote diversity and innovation in vision research.

The Stein Innovation Award supports innovative vision research by providing funding to Department of Ophthalmology faculty and other researchers. With deadlines in January and July, the award encourages projects that advance the understanding of the visual system and related diseases. Eligible candidates must be affiliated with U.S. institutions of higher education, and prior nomination forms are required for application acceptance. The Judith B. Cutcomb Scholarship is offered by CalRTA Napa Valley and administered by Napa Valley Community Foundation. It is awarded in memory of Judith B. Cutcomb, a St. Helena educator. The Cutcomb Scholarship supports current St. Helena Unified School District teachers who are continuing their education or graduates of St. Helena High School studying to be educators. Previous recipients of the scholarship are eligible to reapply.

The Scholarships for Careers Endowment, established by a local family in connection with the Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains, aims to support graduates of Elk Lake School District and the Susquehanna County Career & Technology Center. Cael Askin Memorial Scholarship Fund

The donors establish the Cael Askin Memorial Scholarship in memory of their son, Cael (pronounced Kale) who died at age 25 in 2013 as a result of complications of Epilepsy. Cael was diagnosed with Asperger’s while in school and completed high school with a certified diploma utilizing an Individual Education Plan (IEP) through his time in school. The fund is intended to provide scholarships to Kenai students who have had Individualized Educational Plans (IEP’s).

The family of Cael Askin is honored to offer a $1,000 scholarship in his memory to support a graduating high school or home school senior receiving Special Education Services and intends to pursue secondary education or vocational/technical training.

Thomas Conaty Memorial Scholarship

Established by the family of Mr. Conaty to provide a college or post-secondary degree program scholarship to a student from Blue Ridge, Elk Lake or Montrose Area School Districts, including home schooled students from those districts. Preference will be given to a student who will pursue a degree in business or a related field.

The NASPGHAN Foundation/NASPGHAN George Ferry Young Investigator Development Award supports promising clinical, quality improvement, translational, or basic science research focused on gastrointestinal tract diseases, liver, pancreas, and nutritional disorders in children. Eligibility includes being a NASPGHAN member for at least two years, having a recent fellowship, and holding a junior faculty position. This award fosters innovative research to enhance pediatric gastroenterology and improve child health outcomes.
