Overview of the School Garden Grant Program

Programs funded through this grant must meet the specific criteria outlined in SB 104 and align with Nevada’s academic standards in science, with curriculum tailored to grade levels and the desert climate.

The NRA Foundation: Nevada Grants provide funding to support charitable purposes aligned with the Foundation's mission. Eligible organizations, including 501(c)(3) entities and government bodies, can apply for funding to promote firearms safety, education, and research. They prioritize collaborations with local nonprofits to enhance community well-being, offering assistance in key areas like economic mobility and youth engagement. Despite their wide-ranging support, they have specific ineligibility criteria, such as not accommodating personal requests or solicitation on their property, aiming to direct resources effectively where they are needed most.

The SFS Fellows Grant, awarded by the Society for Freshwater Science, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to freshwater science research, policy, or management. • Experience a sense of sustainable emotional and physical well being
• Receive support to consistently make positive choices for family and the common good

Children’s Justice Act

Opportunity Summary

The Children’s Justice Act (CJA) provides grants to States to improve the investigation, prosecution, and judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner that limits additional trauma to the child victim. CJA grantees are responsible for implementing the requirements of the CJA grant program to reform state processes for responding to child abuse and neglect.

Funding Guidelines 

Examples of Types of Activities Supported by CJA Grant Funds Include

• Regional collaborations to enhance capacity and resource sharing;
• Regional and local multidisciplinary trainings;
• Development of resources, tools or technical assistance to address a specific regional or community need that will improve the investigation and/or prosecution of child abuse and neglect cases. 

Please Note:

CJA funds are to be primarily focused on the front-end, intake, assessment, investigative, and prosecutorial phases of child welfare. CJA Funds must not be used for prevention programs or treatment services. Projects selected by the Task Force should be mindful that funds must be spent to support efforts at the intake and investigative phase of child welfare.

Native Arts and Heritage Fund

The Native Arts + Heritage Fund (NAHF) is a community-rooted award program created to support Native American and Alaska Native artists, culture bearers, and cultural practitioners across the Creative West region.

Co-designed with Native-centered artists, advisors, and community leaders, NAHF centers care, cultural continuity, and self-determination. The fund honors Indigenous ways of knowing and values process over product, relationship over compliance, and well-being as a meaningful measure of impact. In addition to unrestricted funding, selected artists will participate in a three-month virtual cohort experience designed for connection, reflection, and shared learning.

NAHF is administered by Creative West, an organization that uplifts artists and culture bearers across the Creative West region by providing funding, mentorship, and culturally rooted support.

Applicants must provide a letter of support from an Alaska Native or Native American community member who can speak to their relationship to community and cultural work.
