About
Being deeply connected to the community means more than providing access to excellent healthcare. It means understanding, and investing in, the health needs of our community.
Through our Community Investment Fund (CIF), Endeavor Health has awarded more than $38.5 million to 59 local partnerships dedicated to enhancing community health and wellbeing, advancing health equity and supporting local economic growth. Together, we’re committed to helping everyone in our communities be their best.
Award categories
Through the CIF, we will make meaningful and intentional investments through impact awards and capacity builder awards. These awards are intended to meaningfully advance the health of our community over time towards three bold aspirations through investments in five areas of focus.
We aspire to a future where:
To help advance these aspirations, the CIF will invest in the following areas:

Bradshaw Benevolence Grant
Overview
In February 2027, we will award one Bradshaw Benevolence Grant in the amount of $25,000.
Goals
The goal of the Bradshaw Grant is to provide tangible assistance to members of our community, and to fund a project that would not be possible otherwise. While our Community Impact Grants often provide sustaining support for local organizations, the focus for the Bradshaw Grant is a little different—specifically, we are interested in launching or expanding an initiative to create new, positive, and quantifiable change for individuals and families. Although new projects may receive priority, we would like to hear from any nonprofit in Suffolk, Franklin, Southampton County, or Isle of Wight County providing food, clothing, shelter, and/or medical care, that could make a demonstrable difference for people with this grant.
UWNSV Impact Grants
The Challenge
Nearly 4 in 10 households in the Northern Shenandoah Valley cannot afford the basics: housing, food, childcare, transportation, and healthcare.
And instability does not stop at one family’s doorstep. It ripples across classrooms, workplaces, clinics, and neighborhoods. We all feel the cost.
Impact-Driven Funding Opportunities. Hyper-Local Focus.
We live in the communities we serve, working alongside local leaders and residents. Together, we use local data and lived experience to design solutions tailor-made for the challenges right here in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
It is all rooted in United Way values and proven strategies, but never a one-size-fits-all approach. Every dollar you give stays local, drives measurable results, and fuels change where it matters most — in your own community.
Our Response: Building Stability
United Way NSV invests in more than quick fixes. We create long-term stability:
Impact: Together, these efforts reached 11,000+ households and 27,628 individuals — nearly one in ten people in our region.
Our Priorities: Impact for People
We fund programs and partnerships that create lasting change:
