The scholarship supports post-secondary study in the fields of science and medicine. Funds awarded will help to cover the costs of tuition, room, board, books and laboratory fees.

Request For Proposals: General Support for Program Evaluation and Related Services

Purpose

Enterprise Community Partners, Inc. (Enterprise) has initiated a Request for Proposals (RFP) process to select one or more qualified consultants who can provide a range of evaluation-related supports to its in-house Impact and Evaluation department on an as-needed basis.

Enterprise seeks to select contractor(s) who can:

• Conduct quantitative data analysis, using primary and secondary data sources
• Conduct qualitative data collection and analysis
• Provide evaluation-related training and technical assistance
• Prepare reports, presentations, white papers, blog posts, landscape analyses, literature reviews, etc., for a wide range of audiences and purposes

RFP proposals may address all service areas or only one or two. Proposals may also address only a subset of capabilities within a particular service. We do not expect that all proposals will address all competencies and capabilities. Enterprise may select individual consultants, and/or small and large firms, to meet the variety of evaluation-related activities for which we may need support. Preference will be given to those consultants who have experience in the housing and community development fields. 

The A.J. and Sigismunda Palumbo Charitable Trust supports organizations committed to enhancing the lives of children and young adults. They focus on educational institutions, health-related initiatives, and community services in the St. Marys, Pennsylvania area. Grants are awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations demonstrating accountability and measurable outcomes, with a preference for projects that benefit the community at large. The Trust encourages collaborative funding efforts and endeavors that inspire hope and vision.

The Actions of Public Witness Grant, offered by the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program, provides matching grants of up to $1,500 to Unitarian Universalist congregations engaging in timely actions of public witness. This initiative supports efforts in social and environmental justice, encouraging congregations to mobilize during critical moments. Grants are available on a rolling basis and are intended for urgent projects that extend beyond the regular grant timeframe. Notably, individual applications are not accepted.

The Artist in Business Leadership (ABL) Fellowship supports Native artists in building sustainable art-centered businesses. This yearlong program provides $10,000 in funding along with professional development and networking opportunities. Eligible applicants must be 18 years or older, reside in the U.S., and be enrolled in or have lineage from a federally recognized tribe. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Paul Calabresi Career Development Award in Clinical Oncology (K12). This program aims to enhance training for clinician-scientists in cancer research, fostering their career development and collaboration with basic research scientists. It mandates diverse oncology specialties in faculty, individualized career development plans, and mentorship, supporting Scholars for up to three years to promote their research initiatives in clinical trials.

The Katie Cannon Scholarship honors Rev. Dr. Katie Geneva Cannon, a pioneering figure in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). This scholarship aims to empower Presbyterian women of color, clergywomen, and college women by providing financial assistance for leadership development events and educational opportunities. The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region

Scholarships

One of The Community Foundation’s strategies for preserving and growing the quality of life in our region is supporting higher education for area students. The Mary E. Berger Scholarship Fund

The Mary E. Berger Scholarship was established with a gift from Mary E. Berger and a future gift by the estate of Mary E. Berger to assist high school students who wish to attend college or university or professional school to pursue studies in art, music, history, political science, English, journalism and related liberal arts subject.

The Jerome H. & Dr. Elizabeth Emling Post Graduate Fund, established by the Erie Community Foundation, supports Erie County residents pursuing doctorate degrees or advancing master's degrees in Social Service or Education. In 2023, over $800,000 was awarded to more than 500 students for post-secondary education. Priority is given to doctoral candidates already enrolled in relevant fields, ensuring support for those committed to making a difference in their communities.

The CRSJ Racial Justice in Education Grant, administered by the National Education Association, aims to enhance racial equity within education by funding initiatives that promote awareness, leadership development, and solidarity among diverse racial groups. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $75,000, supporting projects that address racism and foster equitable policies in educational settings, thereby accelerating efforts towards social justice.

August Corso Scholarship Fund

Scholarships shall be awarded to residents of Erie County, Ohio pursuing a post-secondary education. Preference shall be given to students pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Environmental Science or Agricultural Business. Financial need is a consideration for the scholarship award.

Scholarships are available for students planning to attend an accredited nonprofit college or university, or planning to receive licensure, accreditation, or a certificate from a nonprofit vocational or apprenticeship program in the United States.

The scholarship may be renewed for a second, third, and fourth year.

The Karim Thomas Ziyad Memorial Engineering Scholarship Fund supports students from Washington County or nearby areas pursuing a career in engineering, especially in Mechanical Engineering. Established in memory of Karim Thomas Ziyad, this scholarship aims to empower deserving students to achieve their educational goals. The fund is part of the Community Foundation of Washington County Maryland, which offers numerous scholarships to enhance educational opportunities for local students.

The Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants for Fiscal Year 2025 support revitalization efforts in severely distressed public housing and surrounding neighborhoods. The Sandusky-Firelands Alzheimer’s Scholarship provides financial support to residents of Erie County, Ohio, pursuing degrees in the Medical and Health Care fields, particularly those interested in working with geriatric patients. Established in 1995 by a dedicated non-profit organization, this scholarship aims to enhance community well-being and quality of life. The Judith R. Walkowitz Article Prize, awarded annually by the North American Conference on British Studies, recognizes the best published article addressing gender and sexuality in British culture. This prize honors Professor Walkowitz’s significant contributions to the fields of gender and cultural studies. Open to scholars in North America, it encourages diverse perspectives across disciplines and time periods, with a cash award of $250 to support ongoing research and scholarship in British Studies.

The NeuroNEXT Small Business Innovation program invites small businesses to apply for exploratory clinical trials involving investigational agents, including drugs, biologics, and devices. These trials aim to gather critical data to support the design of future clinical studies, particularly focusing on diseases aligned with the NINDS strategic plan. Applications are due by 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization, emphasizing the importance of timely submissions.

Black at Microsoft Scholarship

This scholarship supports high school seniors who self-identify as Black or African American and plan to study in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing at an accredited four-year college or university. This scholarship varies from $2,500 to $5,000 with up to 50 awards granted.

The David G. & Jacqueline M. Braithwaite Scholarship in Chemistry, offered by the East Texas Communities Foundation, supports graduating seniors from East Texas counties majoring in chemistry. This renewable scholarship emphasizes the importance of education in achieving dreams, with a preference for chemistry or biochemistry majors. Although financial need is not a consideration, students attending any college in the United States can apply, enabling broader opportunities for aspiring chemists.

The Musician Health & Services Program, funded by The Jeremy Willson Charitable Trust, provides essential support for professional musicians facing financial hardships due to medical or mental health issues. This program offers navigation assistance to help applicants access healthcare resources and financial aid for living and medical expenses. Eligible participants include musicians and music industry professionals residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington. The program aims to alleviate the financial burdens associated with medical treatments and living costs.

The FY 2023 Disaster Supplemental grant aims to support communities affected by major disasters, such as Hurricanes Ian and Fiona, by funding both construction and non-construction projects. This initiative focuses on long-term economic recovery strategies to address the challenges faced in areas with federal disaster declarations. Additionally, the Economic Development Administration has launched the Economic Development Grants Experience (EDGE) platform to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the grant management process.
