Scholarships can be used for cost of attendance, direct education expenses, including tuition, books, and/or other school-related fees.

If you receive an award, be sure to complete your scholarship acceptance form (online portal). Scholarship awards are paid directly to the academic institution by the end of August.

Wehrli Custom Fabrication Scholarship Fund

Steven A. Chupka Memorial Scholarship

For Oliver Wolcott Vocational-Technical High School graduating seniors; preference may be given to students who participate in community service and who have an academic focus in electronics, but students pursuing other fields of study also are eligible to apply.

The Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund, a program of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, aims to uplift Latino youth through food. This grant offers up to $20,000 to non-profit organizations focused on nutrition education and food access for youth aged 0-18. Eligible applicants must have 501c3 status and serve a community where at least 60% of the population is Latino. In memory of Carol J. Kenagy, RN and through the wonderful generosity of our donors, Silverton Health Foundation is able to offer continuing education scholarships for Legacy Silverton staff pursuing nursing degrees.

The Carol J. Kenagy Nursing Education Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis.

All clinical programs are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Cherokee Nation Foundation

The Cherokee Nation Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving the Cherokee Nation, a federally recognized tribe of more than 470,000 citizens. Its mission is to provide educational opportunities to Cherokee students so they can reach their full potential. The Cherokee Nation Foundation is a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Scholarships

Cherokee Nation Foundation offers a diverse range of scholarships to help reverse the trend of rising student debt. Students may receive up to two CNF scholarships per academic year. All opportunities are reserved for Cherokee Nation citizens, unless otherwise noted in the description.

Charles Alan Beauchamp Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate student majoring in an approved environmental field with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must have completed different areas of volunteer service. This is a one-year scholarship reserved for Cherokee Nation citizens residing within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area.

The Skip Thavenet Scholarship, established by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, honors Louis "Skip" Thavenet and supports students from 42 towns in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Grants of up to $40,000 per year for two years are available for clinical research, and $25,000 per year for two years for basic research. Clinical Research Training Scholarship in Autoimmune Neurology

This award recognizes the vital importance of rigorous clinical and translational research and aims to inspire and support early-career investigators pursuing clinical studies in autoimmune neurology — specifically immune-mediated diseases of the nervous system other than multiple sclerosis.

The scope of this award encompasses research on autoimmune neurologic disorders, including neural antibody-associated diseases of the nervous system, autoimmune encephalitis, immune-mediated epilepsy, autoimmune movement disorders, inflammatory myelopathies, NMOSD, MOGAD, paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, neurological complications of cancer immunotherapies, and inborn errors of immunity/autoinflammatory syndromes affecting the nervous system.

This award will consist of a commitment of $65,000 per year for two years, plus a $10,000 per year stipend to support education and research-related costs for a total of $150,000. Supplementation of the award with other grants is permissible, but to be eligible to apply for this award, the other grant source(s) cannot exceed $75,000 annually.

The Yann Weymouth Graduate Scholarship provides $5,000 and mentorship to a graduate student focusing on sustainability, resilience, wellness, and beauty in design. Administered by the Architects Foundation, candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be U.S. citizens, and enrolled in a NAAB-accredited architecture program. Previous recipients can reapply.
