AMCF currently offers a $500 financial relief grant to assist family members with unexpected expenses due to their caregiving role. • To ensure our limited funds reach families with the greatest need, grants may require documentation confirming a diagnosed serious mental illness (SMI).  

• The $500 grant is limited to one award per household within a 12-month period.

The Elk County Community Foundation was started in the late 1990’s by a group of business and civic leaders, with the support of the Stackpole-Hall Foundation, who recognized the need for creating a perpetual funding stream to support Elk County—now and in the future. Tyler Bender recently graduated from the Center for Emergency Medicine, and he felt compelled to give back by starting this scholarship to encourage other individuals to consider the EMS field. Tyler hopes that this scholarship fund will help attract individuals to the field and alleviate a shortage of EMS personnel.

The Salvador Fund Grant offers financial support ranging from $250 to $3,500 to nonprofit organizations in the mid-Columbia region of Oregon and Washington. It aims to benefit low-income individuals through various programs, projects, or events. The fund prioritizes applications that demonstrate community impact and cultural competency. Nonprofits must be based in Oregon or Washington, and activities must not solely serve church members or involve religious teachings. Applications are accepted year-round.

The NIDCD Early Career Research (ECR) Award (R21) supports early-stage scientists in establishing independent research careers in areas such as hearing, balance, and language.
