Established by the Zonta Club, this scholarship aims to empower young women to contribute positively to their communities by facilitating access to higher education opportunities. Since its inception, it has fostered academic growth and leadership among recipients.

American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing full-time STEM degrees at accredited institutions, including those from Washington, can receive need-based scholarships supporting science and technology education. Focused on STEM / STEAM education, Native Forward Scholars Fund offers awards ranging from US $100 - US $30,000 per academic year for eligible students with documented Tribal affiliation.

High school seniors pursuing STEM or arts-related post-secondary studies can receive scholarship support that may benefit STEM/STEAM education interests in Washington. Grants from Erie Community Foundation help students with financial need who demonstrate strong work ethic and plan to attend any college or university, with awards for both science/math/business and art/music majors.

Washington high school seniors pursuing STEM degrees can access funding through this AIAA Foundation and Club for the Future scholarship, which supports aerospace-focused students facing challenges such as disabilities, low-income backgrounds, or being first-generation college-goers. One U.S. student enrolling in a college, university, or technical institution receives US $10,000 plus mentorship from an AIAA professional member.

Focused on STEM / STEAM education, American Association of University Women invites Washington AAUW branches and state organizations to seek funding for hands-on STEM programs for girls in grades K–12. Eligible projects build skills, confidence, STEM identity, or college and career readiness, with awards up to US $10,000 for innovative local initiatives.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and tax-exempt educational institutions in Washington can seek funding to run community-based STEM programs for girls in grades K–12 through the American Association of University Women’s Community Action Grants, offering up to US $50,000. Projects that build STEM skills, confidence, identity, and belonging—especially for underrepresented girls—may be competitive.

High-achieving graduating seniors pursuing STEM-related undergraduate studies can receive up to US $32,000 through the Carter Creech Scholarship, including students from Washington planning to attend four-year colleges. Offered by Communities Foundation of Texas, this award supports top academic performers with strong GPAs, test scores, honors/AP coursework, and foreign language study.

Washington STEM / STEAM education students can access funding through the Catholic Community Foundation’s Ralph M. Knight Chemistry & Engineering Scholarship. Focused on graduate education, Montana State University invites eligible students, including those from Washington, to apply for these Graduate Professional Advancement Grants while still enrolled.

The MSU Graduate Teaching Scholarships recognize the vital role graduate students play in undergraduate education by providing financial support for their teaching efforts. Eligible candidates must have a graduate teaching assistantship, complete professional development, and apply before the semester starts. Scholarships range from $250 to $1000, promoting excellence in teaching and enriching the educational experience at Montana State University.

The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to Doctorate Scholars Program, funded by the National Science Foundation, aims to recruit and retain minority graduate students in STEM fields. This program offers significant benefits, including a $32,000 annual stipend and $12,000 educational allowance for two years, fostering a supportive community through monthly dinners for Indigenous graduate students. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, identify as American Indian or Alaska Native, and have participated in an LSAMP program.
