Southwest Tribal Resilience Academy - Resilience Capacity Grant

Enterprise Community Partners (Enterprise) is seeking Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from eligible tribal entities, Community Development Corporations (CDCs), and Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) that have participated in the Southwest Tribal Resilience Academy.

The Academy provides cohort-based learning opportunities for Southwest Tribal housing organizations to connect with one another, engage with subject-matter experts, and collaborate with local stakeholders to address the unique climate-related hazards facing their region.

To build on the knowledge and technical assistance gained through the Academy, Enterprise will award grant funding to participants of the Southwest Tribal Resilience Academy to support the implementation of resilient, community-driven solutions.

The ASP Conservation Small Grants program is dedicated to supporting primate conservation efforts. It invites proposals for conservation research or related projects, including education, with awards up to $3500. This initiative encourages ASP members, especially those in habitat countries, to submit impactful projects that contribute to broader conservation goals. The program emphasizes funding for local salaries, research supplies, and educational materials, ensuring the sustainability of primate conservation efforts.

This initiative supports businesses in enhancing workforce skills, leading to full-time and higher wage employment opportunities. The LFF: Nature-Based Climate Action Grant aims to support initiatives that leverage natural systems to combat climate change. Wisconsin Department of Transportation

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) was officially established in 1967 by combining formerly independent agencies and the Department of Motor Vehicles (which included the State Highway Commission, State Aeronautics Commission and State Patrol).

WisDOT supports all forms of transportation. The department is responsible for planning, building and maintaining Wisconsin's network of state highways and Interstate highway system. The department shares the costs of building and operating county and local transportation systems - from highways to public transit and other modes. WisDOT plans, promotes and financially supports statewide air, rail and water transportation.

Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP)

The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) is the State of Wisconsin’s program for what is now the federal Transportation Alternatives (TA) set-aside Program. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), enacted in November 2021, replaced the FAST Act-era TA Set-Aside guidelines with enhanced funding availability and programming guidelines. With certain exceptions, projects that met eligibility criteria for the Safe Routes to School Program, Transportation Enhancements, and/or the Bicycle & Pedestrian Facilities Program are eligible TAP projects.

All TAP projects require project sponsors to pay 100% of project costs up front and are then reimbursed up to 80% of approved project costs after conducting project activity. All TAP projects require sponsors to pay a minimum of 20% of the approved project costs. Federal TAP funds are capped at the time of the project. A TAP project may not be substituted for another project and per Wisconsin Statute §85.021(2)(b), TAP projects must commence within four years of their award date. No exceptions or extensions can be made.

TAP projects within the jurisdiction of a Transportation Management Area (TMA) are selected at the regional level by TMAs, which are metropolitan planning organizations with a census-designated population over 200,000.

The North Central Branch John Henry Comstock Award recognizes one graduate student from each of the Entomological Society of America's six branches. This award promotes graduate-level entomology and encourages attendance at the ESA Annual Meeting. The DHS Epilepsy Services Grant in Wisconsin supports private non-profit organizations and county departments to provide essential services for individuals with epilepsy and their families. The grant allows for a maximum allocation of $50,000 per agency per year, with a total cap of $150,000 for all grantees annually. Eligible services include direct support like counseling and training, as well as indirect services such as community education and advocacy.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is offering Reproductive Health and Family Planning Grants specifically aimed at outreach to low-income pregnant women. This initiative focuses on raising awareness about the significance of early prenatal care and available medical assistance benefits. The program aims to connect women with essential prenatal services and ensure follow-up support. The Strategic Alliance Matching Grant - Division II offers financial support to enhance ethnic minority and gender representation in mid- to senior-level athletics administration roles across NCAA Division II institutions. With an annual budget of $860,000, the grant aims to fund up to 20 schools and conferences each year. Eligible applicants must be active Division II members and are encouraged to collaborate with their human resources departments during the proposal process, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.

The Dunkin’ Prom Grant, provided by the Joy in Childhood Foundation, aims to bring joy to teenage patients unable to attend their own prom due to illness. In partnership with individuals and organizations, DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air and water resources while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment and a full range of outdoor opportunities.

Sport Fish Restoration (SFR) - Boat Access Program

These grants may be used to construct boat access projects. Eligible components include boat ramp construction and renovation, along with related amenities such as parking lots, accessible paths, lighting and restroom facilities. Funding for this program comes from federal excise taxes on fishing equipment and a portion of the federal gas tax.

The Wisconsin Wetland Conservation Trust (WWCT) provides grants to restore and enhance wetlands across the state. Managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the program allows for mitigation of unavoidable wetland impacts through the purchase of credits. Eligible applicants include public agencies, private landowners, and nonprofit organizations, with a focus on maintaining ecological integrity within local watersheds. Projects must ensure long-term protection of mitigation sites through legal instruments.

These grants may be used to construct fishing piers that are primarily designed to provide public access for shore fishing. Eligible projects are fishing pier construction and renovations. Facilities that provide access to and amenities for fishing piers may also be eligible. Matching contributions for these grants must be from non-federal sources.

The Doug & Janice Steinback Family Scholarship is offered by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin to assist students from Southwest Wisconsin pursuing degrees in agriculture, life sciences, biology, or chemistry. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and may receive preference if they demonstrate involvement in community activities or financial need. This scholarship aims to support local high school graduates from specific counties in their academic endeavors.

The Growing Tribal Economies Through Forest Market Innovations grant program, initiated by First Nations Development Institute, aims to empower Tribes and Alaska Native Villages to engage in emerging markets that enhance forest health and resilience.
