Nevada Women's Fund Summit Project

Nevada Women’s Fund is dedicated to advancing wage parity and workplace equality.

Each year, Nevada Women's Fund Board of Directors commits significant resources to initiatives that foster career development, professional growth, and equitable workforce participation for women. By targeting these areas, Nevada Women's Fund strives to close the gap between educational attainment and economic equality, enabling women to achieve their full potential and participate in the workforce on an equal footing with their male counterparts. 

The Summit Project funds will support projects aligned with these goals, with awards ranging from $500 to $10,000 available throughout the year. 

The Tahoe Fund Grant prioritizes forest health restoration in the Tahoe Basin, addressing wildfire threats through innovative projects. It invites public agencies and nonprofits to submit funding proposals ranging from $5,000 to $1,000,000. Emphasizing environmental improvement, the fund seeks projects that comply with local regulations and demonstrate community support. Projects must align with key areas such as lake clarity, sustainable recreation, and transportation solutions, aiming to enhance the region's ecological health and tourism appeal.

The PTCF Community Impact Grant supports nonprofit organizations serving the Lake Tahoe Region. Grants focus on five key areas: well-being, education, arts and culture, environment, and community engagement. Organizations must be IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charities or schools, incorporated in California or Nevada, and provide over 50% of their services in the Tahoe Basin. This initiative aims to foster positive community impact through collaboration and innovation.

The Smallwood Foundation Grant supports charitable purposes within a hundred-mile radius of Dallas/Fort Worth, Gainesville, and Minden. It focuses on areas such as Arts and Culture, Civic Activities, Community Development, Education, and Human and Social Services. However, individuals are not eligible to submit applications. The DEW Foundation Grant supports tax-exempt charitable organizations globally, aiming to promote the common good through financial contributions and personal involvement. The foundation prioritizes charities where family members are actively involved and focuses on ministries, health, education, and community service. While it may fund its own projects, it typically does not exceed 10% of an organization's operating budget and avoids supporting politically affiliated causes or normal church operations. Innovative and effective organizations are especially welcome.
