Transportation and Growth Management (TGM) Grants help local jurisdictions plan for transportation systems and land use patterns that create livable, sustainable, and economically vital communities. The resulting plans increase opportunities for transit, walking and bicycling. TGM awards grants in two categories:
In collaboration with Cummins Inc., the American Library Association (ALA) invites applications from U.S. public libraries to participate in A Year of STEM, 12 months of curated STEM programming to foster curiosity and STEM-mindedness in early childhood learners across the country.
Twenty-five libraries will be chosen to participate in A Year of STEM, receiving professional development to prepare them for the project, copies of a newly created A Year of STEM programming guide developed by librarian advisors, a $5,000 programming stipend, four STEM kits (to be delivered quarterly), and support from ALA’s Public Programs Office staff throughout the project implementation period.

Zero-Emission Fueling Infrastructure Grants
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) administers the Zero-Emission Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program to support the development of charging and fueling infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. Eligible applicants include public agencies, businesses, and Tribal governments. Grants reimburse a portion of eligible project costs for the design and installation of direct-current fast chargers and Level 2 chargers. Priority is given to projects in locations disproportionately affected by poor air quality.
In 2026, Oregon DEQ is providing approximately $600,000 in one-time reimbursement funding through the Oregon Zero-Emission Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program. It expands the state's charging infrastructure for medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. Federally funded through Oregon's Climate Equity and Resilience Through Action Grant, this investment will support projects critical to increasing Oregon's EV fleet charging network and prioritize fleets that operate in or close to communities adversely affected by diesel pollution.
