NCAA Division II schools and multisport conference offices receive US $30,000 plus professional development support for one academic-year position focused on athletics administration and diversity initiatives.

New Hampshire NCAA Division II conferences and institutions seeking to expand ethnic minority and women’s representation in athletics administration can access funding through the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Grants support full-time mid- to senior-level roles over five years, with responsibilities such as strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, compliance, diversity initiatives, and student-athlete welfare.

NCAA Division II member colleges creating new assistant coaching positions to increase ethnic minority and gender representation can apply for this Coaching Enhancement Grant, including schools in New Hampshire. With a mission to support diversity in athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association provides up to US $48,000 over three years for salary, wages, and benefits.

New Hampshire NCAA Division III institutions may apply for a coaching enhancement grant that funds new assistant coaching positions aimed at increasing ethnic minority and gender diversity. The NCAA offers two years of matching support for salary, wages, and benefits to help schools build more inclusive and representative athletics coaching staffs.

NCAA Division III conferences and institutions working to increase ethnic minority and gender representation in athletics administration can apply for the Strategic Alliance Matching Grant, including those in New Hampshire. National Collegiate Athletic Association support helps fund full-time mid- to senior-level administrative roles focused on strategic planning, compliance, diversity initiatives, and student-athlete welfare over a five-year commitment.

New Hampshire minority health and physical education professionals with at least ten years in HPERD and long-term SHAPE America membership may be eligible for the E.B. Henderson Award honoring scholarship, mentorship, and service. This Society of Health and Physical Educators recognition highlights leaders advancing ethnic minority and underserved participation nationwide.

Presbyterian undergraduate and associate-degree students attending accredited U.S. colleges full-time in 2025–2026 may be eligible for scholarships supporting their education, including those from minority communities in New Hampshire. Grants from Presbyterian Mission Agency can provide up to US $6,000 for PC(USA) church members pursuing their first degree.

Undergraduate engineering students from marginalized ethnic or gender groups in New Hampshire can apply for the PAE Diversity in Engineering Scholarship from the Architecture Foundation of Oregon; awards Up to US $20,000 to offset direct educational costs. Eligible students study at U.S. 4-year institutions and are passionate about climate justice and community impact.

Students of color pursuing higher education, including those from New Hampshire, can seek scholarships supporting college costs such as tuition, fees, and room and board. With a mission to assist diverse students, Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts offers up to US $3,000 through the Loren and Norma Hill Scholarship Fund, with preference for Hampden County residents.

Students of color pursuing higher education who are GED recipients or graduating high school seniors with financial need may benefit from this scholarship, which supports minority services and Indigenous services beyond New Hampshire. The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound’s Learning Seed Foundation Scholarship offers US $3,000, renewable for up to three additional undergraduate years.

Minority high school seniors and recent graduates pursuing postsecondary education can receive US $1,000 scholarships through the Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond, with a focus on African American youth. Focused on minority services, the foundation invites students from Louisa or Fluvanna County public schools, including those with ties to New Hampshire, to apply.

Focused on supporting minority students, Innovia Foundation invites New Hampshire residents who are Black, Indigenous, or other People of Color to pursue marketing, advertising, design, or computer science studies. Scholarships support academic achievement and may benefit those active in school activities, community service, or work experience within Innovia's broader service region.

Nonprofit organizations with at least five years of serving Black, Latina, and Native American women and girls can seek funding to recruit and retain them in college-level computing programs, including in New Hampshire. Reboot Representation Tech Coalition supports research-backed, multi-geometry initiatives that build computing skills using its gender-inclusivity framework.

American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing STEM PhD programs in the U.S., including those from New Hampshire, can apply for Montana State University’s LSAMP Bridge to Doctorate support; awards US $88,000 in stipend and education allowance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and past LSAMP undergraduate participants.

Indigenous undergraduate and graduate students in STEM fields, including those from New Hampshire, can apply for the American Indian Science and Engineering Society’s Indian Motorcycle Academic Scholarship, awarding US $5,000 per year for academic expenses. Applicants must be current AISES members with a 3.0 GPA or higher and meet specific Indigenous ancestry criteria.

Kansas City Pride Community Alliance Scholarship Fund

The KCPCA Scholarship provides needed financial assistance to support LGBTQ+ students who are resident of Jackson, Clay, Platte or Buchannan counties in Missouri and Johnson, Wyandotte or Douglas counties in Kansas of all background and educational interests. We prioritize LGBTA+ students who need it most and who have some or all of the following experiences:

• People of color, Black, Indigenous
• Trans, Non-binary, Gender Expansive, Two spirit people
• People with disabilities – including people living with chronic illnesses, HIV, neurodivergence, mental health challenges
• People who have or are experiencing housing instability
• People living in rural areas
• People who have financial need without access to financial support
• People who have experienced family rejection.

Self-Defense Grants for MMIR Day

Facilitators, educators, organizers — May 5th is the Day of Awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Relatives. In honor of that day, we are offering mini grants to host a self-defense workshop for Indigenous girls and gender-expansive youth.

Why self-defense?

• Native women are murdered at 10x the national rate
• 84% experience violence in their lifetime
• Over 5,700 Native girls go missing each year

We also name the invisible crisis:

• Indigenous people from Mexico & Central America (Maya, Nahua, Zapotec, Mixtec, Lenca, and others) living in the U.S. face detention, deportation, and disappearances that are rarely counted in MMIR data.
• When a Tzotzil 18 year old like Royer Perez Jimenez dies in ICE custody, the silence is deafening.

Self-defense must include all Indigenous relatives.

XCNC has:

• $500 mini grants for stipends, space, supplies, and translation.

What we ask:

• Plan a workshop between May 5–31, 2026, rooted in community care.

Every Battle Creek area resident shall have the resources to access post-secondary education and training.

Checks are made payable to the educational institution indicated on the follow-up and mailed directly to the educational institution. Checks are typically mailed in early August.

Leroy McKinney Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was created in memory of Leroy McKinney Jr., who was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Class of 1988. Upon graduation, he studied Pre-Engineering in college. He also had an entrepreneurial spirit. Though he struggled with mental illness, one of his proudest accomplishments in life, was returning to college as an adult and completing his Bachelor's degree in Business Management. He would be honored to know this scholarship was created in his legacy to support other African American men to pursue their education in these fields.

At the Community Foundation for Muskegon County, we work with donors, grantees, and advisors to address key community issues.

Nancy Waters and Mark Waters Scholarship

This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of Nancy and Mark Waters, who established the Nancy Waters and Mark Waters Scholarship of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. In recognition of what this community has meant to their family, Nancy and son, Mark, started this to support the educational, economic and community development needs and interests of African Americans in the greater Muskegon region. Through their leadership they are demonstrating how the Community Foundation can reach and support all its citizens. Mark passed away in 2015.

The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts administers over 160 scholarships. Some of the funds help students from a particular school or area; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students that are most in need. Students who apply to the Scholarship program may be eligible for many of these funds. 

Scholarships are provided for one academic year and are not automatically renewed each year. You can reapply to our program every year you are going to attend college, and the application you submit that year will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible

Latino Scholarship Fund

To support graduating Latino high school seniors from Hampden and Hampshire Counties.

Fund the Dream Scholarship

The Fund the Dream Scholarship Fund was established in 2022 by the Hispanic Alliance, GA. The purpose of this scholarship is to ‘Build the Dream, One Graduate at a Time.’ Minority students from first-generation/low-income backgrounds face systemic roadblocks while navigating the college admissions process. Graduating seniors coming from low-income families are seven times more likely to drop out than those from families with higher income. In addition, 74% of Latino students enrolled in colleges and universities in the U.S. cut their education short due to the financial pressures of supporting their families. To help mitigate the educational opportunity gap and student debt crisis, the Hispanic Alliance Georgia Fund the Dream Scholarship will support one student who has huge aspirations for their life and is willing to work through anything to achieve them. This scholarship is funded by proceeds from the annual Latino Fest in Gainesville, Georgia and is part of our commitment to making academic and scholarship support more accessible for all students.

When choosing a recipient, the selection committee will take into consideration factors such as the applicant’s academic achievement, financial need, immigration status, volunteering efforts, future educational goals, and responses to essay question. Special consideration will be given to students participating in the Latino Youth Leadership Academy. The 2026 scholarship will be a one-time award of $1,500.

The Talati Family Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, aims to support students of color pursuing higher education. Students can apply through a single online application, which connects them to various scholarships based on eligibility. Awards can reach up to $3,000 and may impact financial aid offers. This scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited institutions in the U.S., particularly those from Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties.

David & Priscilla Morris Scholarship

The David and Priscilla Morris Scholarship was established to provide tuition support for Black or African American students attending Western Michigan University.

KZCF scholarships may be applied to any items under your school’s cost of attendance (COA). Each school has a different COA that may include items such as tuition, fees, housing, transportation, food, health insurance, etc. Scholarship payments are sent directly to your institution.

This scholarship is a one-time award, meaning that it will not repeat in subsequent years. The money awarded can be applied to your education costs alongside other scholarships or funding that you may receive, and there are no necessary steps once funds are sent.
