Grants ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 are available to nonprofits and government entities that align with health equity and innovative care delivery models. Priority is given to projects that enhance collaboration, utilize technology, and address behavioral health needs of vulnerable populations.

The ACCF Legacy Grant aims to support various community initiatives in Allegan County, focusing on youth programs, arts and culture, environmental conservation, economic development, animal welfare, and capacity building for local nonprofits. This grant program is unique among Health Fund initiatives because it invests in the core functions of organizations and their collaboratives, rather than specific project-related objectives.

Capacity building grants

The Capacity Building grant program assists health-focused, community-based organizations in becoming stronger, more effective institutions within their community, allowing them to spend more time and energy focused on their missions. Grants also support collaborative efforts among providers, service agencies, and community-based organizations to cooperatively and sustainably address health issues.

The Health Fund makes grants of up to $300,000 for both organizational and collaborative capacity building projects for health-focused organizations that support children and older adults, or that are aligned with our priority areas. 

The Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust offers grants aimed at enhancing the lives of animals in the Ohio/Great Lakes region. It prioritizes projects that foster animal adoption, behavior training, and humane education. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) certified and demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare. The Trust seeks innovative, collaborative initiatives that significantly improve the well-being of animals, particularly in underserved communities, ensuring a high quality of life for both individual animals and larger populations.

The Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Charitable Foundation Fund empowers charitable organizations focused on enhancing the lives of children and youth in southeast Michigan. Since its establishment in 1999, it has allocated over $6.4 million to support local nonprofits. The fund prioritizes sustainability, regional impact, collaboration, and leveraging additional resources to ensure lasting benefits for the community. Applications are welcomed from 501(c)(3) organizations serving the defined region, with an emphasis on impactful, collaborative projects.

The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation offers Local Community Grants to support initiatives that enhance community development, health, arts, education, and the environment. Nonprofit organizations in the service areas are eligible for funding. The foundation emphasizes partnerships that promote educational opportunities and community improvement. With a history of providing financial support since 1964, the foundation encourages projects that engage local residents and foster collaboration among diverse groups. Preference is given to specific programs or projects that align with their mission.

The Lenawee Community Foundation provides essential funding to not-for-profit organizations in Lenawee County, Michigan, focusing on civic, cultural, health, education, and social services. Grants are awarded after thorough evaluations of community needs and opportunities, prioritizing projects that promise significant local benefits. Organizations must meet specific eligibility criteria, including a pre-application process for larger grants. The Bayer Fund Health & Wellness Grant Program aims to support organizations that provide education and resources for patients and caregivers facing cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Grants focus on assisting communities, particularly the African American population, in managing these health issues. Funding covers educational services, disease awareness, and access to care, with all activities to commence post-funding decisions. Eligible organizations must hold a 501(c)(3) status and operate within 55 miles of Bayer sites.

Allegan County Community Foundation: Food Grant

All food-related requests, product and distribution, should be addressed through this Food Security Grant application. Organizations serving residents of Allegan County may apply. Any recipients of this grant will only receive funding once during a rolling 12-month period. The ACCF Food Grant Cycle supports organizations addressing food insecurity in Allegan County through food-related programs, including product and distribution efforts.

We strive to increase availability of healthy food options for residents, while also expanding supplemental food resources in Allegan County. It is unlikely that this grant will fund food purchases. Priority is given to programs that: 

• are part of the Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative or the MACC Food Security Workgroup, 
• increase food redistribution options and access, 
• expand or improve current resources, and 
• increase collaboration to provide more community availability in sections of Allegan County that are lacking. 

The GIG Fund: Arts and Wellness offers grants ranging from $2,000 to $15,000 to support projects that blend arts and wellness. Open to non-profit organizations, hospitals, and clinics across the Midwest, this fund aims to enhance community well-being through artistic initiatives. Eligible applicants must engage professional artists and provide activities that promote health and creativity. This funding round supports activities occurring between December 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, emphasizing the importance of arts in fostering wellness.

The Troy Community Foundation Grant aims to empower residents of Troy, MI, focusing on community development through arts, health, youth, and beautification initiatives. By enhancing these core areas, TCF believes in creating a vibrant city that fosters positive change and improves quality of life. Grants typically range from $250 to $2000, reviewed individually based on merit. Eligible projects must be located in Troy and support charitable activities, particularly those benefiting the community's diverse population.

The AAACF Community Grantmaking Program aims to promote equity in education and reduce racial and economic disparities in Washtenaw County. Established in 1963, the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation supports nonprofits and scholarships, focusing on literacy for marginalized youth, mental health services, and empowering programs. By engaging community-based organizations, AAACF fosters impactful partnerships to enhance the quality of life and build a sustainable future.

The ACCF Youth (TAG Team) Grants support youth development initiatives in Allegan County, inviting high school students to represent their peers through the T.A.G (Teens Aiding Growth) Team. This funding opportunity prioritizes programs that enhance early childhood education, promote mental and physical health, and support youth-led social change. Grants are available for 501(c)3 non-profits and governmental units, ensuring they meet specific eligibility criteria to benefit local youth aged 0-19.

The Chelsea Community Foundation, a permanent endowment founded in 1995, supports community-driven initiatives in Chelsea, Michigan, with grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. It prioritizes funding for 501(c)(3) organizations, government entities, and educational institutions that serve the Chelsea School District. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded over $1.6 million to local nonprofits, addressing critical community needs and fostering collaboration among civic leaders and donors.

The MGM Resorts Foundation Community Grant Fund supports nonprofit agencies providing essential services in areas such as affordable housing, education, and health. Grants are awarded for a one-year period and focus on regions where MGM Resorts employees live and work. Eligible applicants must comply with diversity policies and serve individuals or families. The foundation does not fund governmental agencies or projects exclusively for medical research. This initiative aims to enhance community well-being through targeted support.

The Built to Play Skatepark Grants, funded by the Tony Hawk Foundation, aim to support the creation of free, public skateparks in low-income communities across Southeast Michigan and Western New York. With grants up to $250,000, the program emphasizes community involvement, environmental sustainability, and accessibility. It prioritizes projects designed by experienced contractors that engage local skaters in leadership roles. The Pride Fund promotes safe, healthy, affirming environments for LGBTQIA+ communities within Allegan County by increasing visibility, allyship, multigenerational support, access to resources and promoting physical and mental health. Organizations providing programs and services that serve the LGBTQIA+ community in Allegan County that meet these criteria are welcome to apply.

The Pride Fund promotes safe, healthy, affirming environments for LGBTQIA+ communities within Allegan County. Priority is given to programs that: 

• Increase visibility, 
• increase allyship,  
• increase multigenerational support,  
• increase access to resources, and  
• promotes physical and mental health. 

The AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation Grant aims to prevent and mitigate adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) to promote healthier outcomes for children. With a focus on empowering families, healing behaviors, and access to healthcare, the foundation supports nonprofit organizations that provide comprehensive care and resources. Grants range from $100,000 to $250,000, totaling up to $1.945 million for project-specific initiatives. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits operating in states where AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid markets exist.

The Keller Foundation Grant, established in 1980, aims to support innovative programs for children and families, particularly in the Grand Rapids area. With nearly $7 million awarded to over 150 nonprofits, the foundation focuses on five key areas: Cultural, Education, Environment, Health, and Human Services. Grants, ranging from $2,500 to $50,000, prioritize long-term impact and community involvement, fostering educational and cultural opportunities for underserved youth.
