The Biomedical Research Environment and Sponsored Programs Administration Development (BRE-SPAD) Program, funded by the NIH, aims to enhance the biomedical research landscape by supporting resource-limited organizations. This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of the members of the Muskegon County Medical Society, who established the Muskegon County Medical Society Scholarship of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. This scholarship provides assistance to individuals pursuing projects or programs relating to health, science education and/or service.

Crown Castle Scholarship

Benefiting Crown Castle interns OR dependents of Crown Castle employees.

Award Amount

• Three (3) scholarships awarded annually
• $10,000 divided evenly between the fall and spring semesters
• Recipients may reapply for up to 3 consecutive years.

What can this scholarship be used for?

• The scholarship will be mailed directly to the student's college to be used towards tuition, required academic fees, and/or book expenses.
• Scholarship funding cannot be distributed directly to the student. Funding cannot be used for room and board, rent, meal plans, parking passes, or other similar living expenses.

J. K. Stanford Memorial Award Fund

Rose "Rossie" Miller, a passionate advocate for the community, and her family established this scholarship in memory of their loved one, J. K. Stanford, who was a talented auto mechanic. According to Rose, "my brother J.K. was so good of a mechanic, it seemed like he could simply listen to a car run and tell you what was wrong. He was a compassionate, kind-hearted person, who had a love of cars from an early age." Rose stated, "having received scholarship funds myself, I feel blessed to finally be able to give back to the community." The Stanford family witnessed the realities of not having certification and made a commitment to removing that barrier for others. This scholarship will benefit individuals obtaining certification as an auto or heavy equipment mechanic, an opportunity J.K. never had due to lack of funds. Recipients shall prove to be passionate about and persevere towards their educational goals while maintaining high academic standards.

The Rona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship supports emerging women writers with a fully funded 7-month residency at the Fine Arts Work Center. Established by the Rona Jaffe Foundation, it includes a $2,500 prize to assist with travel and living expenses. Eligible candidates must be U.S. residents, at least 18 years old, and not enrolled in a degree program during the fellowship year. This prestigious fellowship aims to nurture exceptional literary talent.

The Alford Family Golf Scholarship

This scholarship is given in honor of the Alford Family and provides scholarship support to one male and one female varsity golfer who will continue to play at the NCAA Division II or III level.  

Consideration is given to the following verifiable and documented criteria:

• GPA and Class Rank.- Quality of reference letters.- Examples of an applicant's ways of giving back to the game of golf besides playing the game.- Leadership qualities with examples applicable to the applicant's team and as an individual.- Examples of sportsmanship as a player and integrity as a person

Harry & Helen Davidson Family Scholarship Fund

The Davidson Family Scholarship was established to honor the commitment to education and service to the Battle Creek community of Harry and Helen Davidson. Harry, who served as superintendent of the Battle Creek Public Schools for a number of years, who upon his retirement from the education field, became the first executive director of the Battle Creek Community Foundation. Much of Harry and Helen's work in this community can be exemplified today through development of our fine educational system, the growth of our Community Foundation, and a strong community value for the education of our young people.

The AWS District Scholarships, offered by the American Welding Society, provide financial support for students pursuing welder training in certificate programs. Annually, up to 800 scholarships worth $1,000 each are available for those attending accredited trade schools or community colleges. Eligible applicants must reside within AWS District boundaries and plan to attend a qualifying institution. Funds can cover tuition, fees, and necessary supplies, promoting growth in the welding profession.

OREF/Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation Research Grant

Solicits investigator-initiated proposals focusing on research in the science of biologic – reconstruction, bone regeneration, transplantation - allografts, and including stem cells for graft transplantation.

The Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program, administered by the Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation, offers a competitive scholarship of $3,000 annually for up to four years for undergraduate studies. This initiative recognizes exceptional academic and extracurricular achievements among high school students. Scholarships are available to those attending accredited colleges or universities in the U.S. or Canada, though children of Cleveland-Cliffs officers are ineligible. The program aims to enhance educational opportunities and support community growth.

Fran Gay Memorial Scholarship Fund

When Fran died in 2000, she left behind not only her son, daughter, and other family members, but also her second “family” at JFK Medical Center. She worked at the hospital for 30 years in positions that included supervisor of Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit and as Assistant Director of Nursing, and Risk Manager. Her family established this scholarship to help students pursue careers in the health profession.

Patrick J. Kiley / Houston AGC Scholarship

Benefiting employees, dependents of employees, and/or interns of AGC Houston member firms OR students involved in AGC Student Chapters.

Lillian A. Jones Scholarship Fund

This fund was established in memory of Lillian A. Jones to support academic scholarships for graduate students who are Calhoun County residents. "Often times students finish their undergraduate degree and are in debt or just don't have the funds to continue on to higher degrees," said Lillian speaking about her fund, "There is a real need for these students too."

The NIDCR is inviting applications for the continuation or revision of ongoing clinical trials through the UH3 Clinical Trial Required grant. This opportunity supports extensions for completing trials or longer follow-up periods, as well as revisions that are well justified. Key deadlines for submissions are set from March 2025 to January 2028, with optional Letters of Intent encouraged thirty days prior to application due dates. The Winters Area Foundation Alumni Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Abilene, supports Winters alumni currently enrolled in college. Funded in collaboration with the Veterinary Pharmacology Research Foundation, this grant offers up to $10,000 for a one-year fellowship. It covers expenses related to training, professional travel, stipends, and scholarly activities, aiming to enhance the number and quality of skilled researchers in the field.

Teresa Sue Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund

Teresa Sue Davis was born and raised in Battle Creek. Her name is not well-known, nor is she lauded for large philanthropic donations to the community. But like so many other city residents, she left an unforgettable mark on her family and the lives of others. Some may consider her contributions small. To those she touched, they were immeasurable. She was a 1984 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and held many jobs in the community. No job was perhaps more important than as a mother, where she often selflessly pushed her children to achieve their life goals. This scholarship was established as a helping hand to graduates of Battle Creek Public Schools so that they may pursue their dreams of higher education.

The American Urological Association offers Medical Student Fellowships to enhance urological research. This program allows exceptional medical students to engage in mentored research with leading urologic scientists, receiving a stipend of $4,000. The initiative aims to cultivate the next generation of urologic researchers. Importantly, research projects no longer require a full 10-week commitment during summer, providing greater flexibility for participants. This fellowship is a significant opportunity for young investigators to contribute to advancements in urological care.

The American Urological Association's Residency Research Award supports urology residents in their research training, aimed at fostering future leaders in urologic research. Each award provides $10,000 for essential research supplies and resources for projects lasting 3-12 months. Recipients must dedicate 80% of their time to research during this period, ensuring they build a strong foundation for their research careers.

Stetler - Piper Family Scholarship Fund

The Stetler – Piper Family Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of providing scholarships to graduates of Calhoun County High Schools or adult residents of Calhoun County pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities.

George and Arlene F. Lepeska Scholarship Fund

• Student should demonstrate strong extracurricular activities, academic excellence.
• Must show financial need.

The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, a private funder, established the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Endowment to support local RMHC Chapters in the U.S. and Canada that lack adequate backing from Alpha Delta Pi collegiate or alumnae associations. Since 1979, over $22 million has been contributed to RMHC, with grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 available for houses, renovations, and family room expansions, fostering a strong philanthropic partnership.
