Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman Foundation Grant

The Reisman foundation is pro-active in seeking grant proposals from qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations as well as accepting unsolicited proposals.

Mission

The Dorothy and Marshall M. Reisman Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to the stewardship of the funds entrusted to its care. The Foundation is committed to using its resources to enhance the quality of life through support of organizations located primarily in the Central New York community.

Circular Economy Funding has been allocated for education programs and the infrastructure required to support resource diversion programs and the circular economy in three (3) main categories: 

• Consumer Behavior and Practices - Consumer Behavior and Practices projects must focus on zero waste, source reduction, reuse, recycling, circular economy, closed loop systems, extended producer responsibility, product stewardship and/or composting.
• Collection and/or Processing - Funds may be used for: the purchase of containers, balers, shredders, compactors, pallet jacks, construction and/or signs. Infrastructure and equipment that supports a circular economy by giving a company the ability to take back and reuse their products will be given priority
• Manufacturing and Design - Projects must either improve the design of consumer goods and/or packaging or create new goods that align with zero waste/circular economy principles. 

The Kempner Fund's Core Grants Program focuses on enhancing Galveston's long-term success and resilience, particularly in environmental sustainability. It prioritizes funding initiatives that address climate change impacts and promote community engagement. Eligible applicants include USA-based 501(c)(3) organizations that align with the Fund's mission and values. Grant sizes range from $20,000 to $100,000, based on project scope. The Fund aims to address challenges faced by the Galveston community through targeted support and collaboration.

The Backyard Giving Grants, offered by CHS Foundation, support local organizations in Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington counties with funding up to $5,000. These grants aim to host community events, provide agricultural education, and ensure access to healthy food and housing. Eligible applicants include 501c3 organizations that prioritize community building and education. Notably, the program does not fund sports teams or religious groups, ensuring a focus on essential community needs and equitable support.

The AWWA Scholarship Program offers the GFT Forces of Change Scholarship, providing $5,000 to undergraduate or graduate engineering students passionate about advancing the water industry. This scholarship underscores AWWA's commitment to nurturing future professionals who will tackle critical infrastructure challenges. By investing in education, AWWA aims to empower the next generation to innovate and lead in water supply solutions. This initiative highlights the importance of skilled engineers in shaping a sustainable future.

The Richard Reed Foundation Grant supports small, innovative non-profit organizations in Colorado and Northern California that aim to improve community welfare through initiatives in mental health, child development, environmental impact, and animal welfare. The foundation focuses on organizations with a proven track record, clear goals, and sustainable funding. Grants typically range from $5,000 to $10,000, and the foundation encourages creativity and collaboration to foster significant community change.

The Melba Bayers Meyer Charitable Trust, established in 1995, supports various charitable causes in Pensacola, Florida, and Alabama. The trust prioritizes organizations that assist children, indigent Native Americans, and neglected animals. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations focusing on religious, charitable, scientific, or educational purposes. The trust aims to make a positive impact in the community by addressing the needs of vulnerable populations.

Community Foundation of Morgan County

The Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC) was founded on January 5, 2000, thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment. CFMC was originally a partnership with the Mooresville Community Foundation and Morgan County Community Foundation. The historic Academy Building on the Newby Campus in Mooresville was CFMC’s original location.

After 25 years of service, the Community Foundation of Morgan County continues to grow our community endowment for purposes of enhancing the lives of all Morgan County citizens, now and for those in the future. We address community needs through grantmaking, including scholarships, connect donors to local needs, and provide leadership on key community issues.

Lilly Endowment GIFT IX Community Project Grant

The Community Foundation of Morgan County is committed to strengthening the long-term vitality of our community by addressing critical needs. The Community Project Grant Program, funded by Lilly Endowment Gift IX, provides strategic funding opportunities for transformative initiatives aligned with three key pillars:

This funding opportunity is available once every 12 months, ensuring targeted and effective support for local initiatives that enhance the quality of life for affected individuals.

The Houston Astros Group Charity Ticket Program aims to support local 501(c)(3) nonprofits by providing complimentary home game tickets. This initiative allows qualifying organizations to apply for up to two games per year, with a maximum of 50 tickets per game. The program emphasizes responsible ticket usage, ensuring that awarded tickets are fully utilized to foster community engagement. This effort not only honors the Astros' commitment to local charities but also enhances the overall experience of attending a game.

The Wisconsin Recycling Grant Program, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, offers financial support to cities, towns, villages, counties, tribes, and solid waste management systems. This initiative aims to enhance residential recycling and yard waste programs by covering essential costs for managing recyclable materials, including paper, plastics, and glass. By fostering effective recycling systems, the program seeks to improve material recovery and promote sustainable waste management practices throughout Wisconsin.

The Community Waste Reduction and Recycling (CWRAR) Grant Program is now accepting proposals for 2025, aiming to help local governments enhance waste reduction and recycling efforts in North Carolina. Grants of up to $40,000 are available for priority projects that implement or expand curbside recycling, hazardous waste programs, or electronics recycling initiatives. The AW Environmental Grant Program, backed by American Water Works Company, Inc., aims to support community-driven projects focused on water conservation and the protection of vital water resources. Since 2012, the foundation has invested over $15 million in innovative initiatives that enhance access to clean water and promote responsible water usage in underserved communities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) charities and educational institutions committed to environmental stewardship.

The Community Conservation Fund, managed by the British Columbia Conservation Foundation, empowers local communities to engage in conservation initiatives that protect and enhance wildlife and ecosystems. This program is open to Indigenous Peoples, non-profits, and community organizations in British Columbia, fostering collaboration and education to positively impact local fish and wildlife populations. Projects must be community-driven, occur within the calendar year, and cannot primarily benefit the applicant.

The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation Grant aims to support nonprofit organizations in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island that enhance the lives of families and children. Established in 2017, the foundation focuses on providing essential resources such as health services, mental health support, food, and shelter. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations that align with the foundation's mission, ensuring no discrimination in hiring or service provision.

The Governor's Industry Vocations Scholarship (NJ-GIVS) supports women and minority students pursuing certificates or degrees in construction-related fields. Funded by the Schools Development Authority and administered by HESAA, this scholarship can cover up to $2,000 per year or the full cost of tuition, minus any other financial aid. It is renewable for one year, contingent on future funding availability, and awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The mission of CKCF is Building Stronger Communities Through Charitable Giving. Located in Newton, CKCF is a host foundation to 18 affiliates in the central Kansas region, supporting rural philanthropy.

History

The CKCF based in Newton, Kansas is thriving as a viable community foundation serving Newton while also being host to numerous affiliate community foundations throughout central Kansas. The Central Kansas Community Foundation was originally founded in 1994. Following a stable history serving a tri-county area the foundation merged in 2009 with the well-established Greater Newton Community Foundation. Today, the CKCF continues to demonstrate a commitment to strengthening communities across the entire Central Kansas region.

Wayne Willis Foundation Scholarship Fund

The scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to current graduating high school seniors or college/graduate students who are furthering their careers through a degree in wildlife management or conservation of natural resources.

The FY2026 Implementation of the Quagga and Zebra Mussel Action Plan (QZAP) seeks to address the rapid spread of these invasive species in the Western United States. This funding opportunity aims to support proposals that align with the priorities established in QZAP 2.0, focusing on critical areas for prevention and control. Applications will only be accepted through grantsolutions.gov, and the initiative is limited to U.S. states within the Western Regional Panel.

The Abandoned Mine Drainage Abatement and Treatment Program (AMDATP) is funded by the Marcellus Legacy Fund as established by Act 13 of 2012. This program aims to address the critical issue of Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD), which significantly impairs over 5,500 miles of Pennsylvania's streams. Eligible projects can receive grants up to $1,000,000, requiring at least a 15% match, focusing on remediation, maintenance, and monitoring of AMD sites.

The Source Water Protection Local Assistance Grant Program in Washington offers financial support for projects aimed at safeguarding drinking water sources. With up to $200,000 available annually, the program encourages local governments, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions to implement measures that reduce contamination risks. Eligible projects include planning studies, implementation of best management practices, and security enhancements to protect water sources. This initiative promotes long-term improvements in water quality and public health.

Minnesota's Coastal Program Grants offer funding for projects aimed at enhancing the management of Lake Superior's coastal areas. Managed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, these small grants (up to $10,000) support short-term initiatives that promote planning, outreach, technology advancement, and youth education. Eligible projects include developing plans, hosting conferences, and creating educational resources for youth. The program prioritizes sustainability and community engagement in coastal management efforts.

Department of Environmental Quality

Responsible for administering laws and regulations related to air quality, water quality, water supply, renewable energy and land protection, DEQ is the primary environmental permitting agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Through the work more than 800 employees at six regional offices across the state and the Central Office in Richmond, DEQ issues permits, conducts monitoring and inspections, and enforces the law. 

Section 319(h) Nonpoint Source (NPS)Implementation Program

Purpose and Background

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is making available up to $1.5 million in Federal Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 319(h) grant funding through this Request for Application (RFA) to support implementation of goals and milestones included in eligible Nonpoint Source (NPS) cleanup plans. DEQ also anticipates up to an additional $2 million will be available for septic repair, replacement and connection projects. Cleanup plans include a variety of types of plans, including but not limited to implementation plans (IPs), advance restoration plans (ARPs) and watershed-based plans (WBPs). In Virginia, Implementation Plans are the most commonly developed type of plan and henceforth this document will only reference the term IP.

This RFA is intended to identify implementation projects that do not currently have an active or pending CWA Section 319(h) Subrecipient Agreement(s) in the cleanup plan of interest. Existing subrecipients who wish to continue their current project should contact their assigned DEQ NPS Regional Coordinator or email to inquire about the process of continuing their current CWA Section 319(h)-funded project.

Project Types

Implementation of eligible U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-accepted (nine element) cleanup plans and related best management practice (BMP) installation, information and outreach and water quality monitoring.

The Cheerful Giver Scholarship, provided by the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge, offers over $300,000 in financial support to students in the Greater Augusta County area pursuing health care-related education. This need-based scholarship is open to high school seniors, current college students, and adult learners, with a preference for those entering the nursing profession. The foundation aims to enhance community well-being through educational opportunities.

The Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program, administered by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), provides crucial housing funding to non-profit organizations assisting individuals and families affected by AIDS/HIV. Available in 77 counties across Indiana, it prioritizes agencies dedicated to supporting these vulnerable populations, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support to thrive in their communities.

The MT 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Project Grants, administered by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, aim to reduce nonpoint source pollution through competitive funding for eligible projects. This program supports various initiatives, including technical assistance and restoration efforts, to protect Montana's water quality. By implementing Best Management Practices and fostering community engagement, the program seeks to address diffuse pollution sources effectively. The 2012 Montana Nonpoint Source Management Plan outlines strategic goals to enhance these efforts.

MH263036 - Delivering Sources of Strength OMH Suicide Prevention Center of New York (SPCNY)

The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) through its Suicide Prevention Center of New York (OMH SPCNY) is pleased to announce the availability of funds dedicated to the implementation of Sources of Strength, a suicide prevention program, in New York State high schools (grade 9-12).

The organization awarded this RFP will be responsible for onboarding new schools statewide into Sources of Strength by providing both Adult Advisor and Peer Leader trainings conducted by a certified Sources of Strength trainer. In addition, the organization would maintain ongoing technical assistance and support for schools that have completed their initial Sources of Strength training within the previous three years. By the third year of support, offboarding must be offered to help schools build the capacity needed to sustain the program independently. The awardee shall train peer leaders to initiate and conduct a series of systematic peer-to-peer prevention activities under the supervision of trained adult advisors. Messaging activities are to directly target and modify the helpseeking attitudes and behaviors of youths throughout each school, so that students are better able to manage distress, including anxiety, depression, and stress, and draw on positive coping resources including capable adults in their community. The organization shall report these activities to OMH on a regular frequency in the form of a report.
