She was a Louisville native and Southern High School graduate, who went on to earn multiple degrees in history at Morehead State College and her Doctorate of Education at the University of Louisville. Dr. Wagner taught for more than thirty years at the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, and Jefferson Community College.
