The Wetland Mitigation Banking Program for FY 2026 offers $3 million in grants to support the development of mitigation banks for agricultural producers with wetlands. Proposals are prioritized based on the number of wetlands and conservation compliance requests in states such as Georgia, Illinois, and Minnesota. Graduating high school seniors in Lake County, Indiana planning full-time undergraduate study at eligible Indiana colleges can receive full tuition, required fees, and up to US $900 per year for books and equipment. Legacy Foundation’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship supports four years of study and connects recipients to the Lilly Scholars Network for leadership and community engagement opportunities.

The goal of Alzheimer’s Disease Pre-Clinical Translational Science Grant program is to enhance our approach to the selection and prosecution of drug discovery targets for Alzheimer’s Disease. This mechanism will provide research support up to $50,000 for innovative work that is in scope and aligned with the research activities of the IUSM-Purdue TREAT-AD Center. These include (but are not limited to):

• Bioinformatic analyses and drug target hypothesis generation within neuroinflammatory pathways.
• Target validation studies for proposed drug targets.
• Innovative chemical biology and cellular pharmacology studies for proposed targets that may provide insights to disease initiation and progression.

This scholarship is renewable.

This scholarship reflects the commitment of generous donors to support Noble County students in achieving their educational aspirations, with notifications sent in December.

Nature's Path's Gardens for Good program empowers communities by funding organic gardens that address food insecurity. Since 2010, it has donated $930,000 CAD to support 120 gardens. In 2023, grants of $6,500 each will be awarded to 20 gardens across the U.S. and Canada. Eligible applicants must be registered non-profits with urban organic agriculture projects that serve low-income communities, promoting sustainable practices and inclusivity.

The Cathy E. Harris Good Samaritan Scholarship, established by the Parkview Health Foundation, honors Cathy Harris, a dedicated former Director of Parkview Samaritan. This scholarship supports Parkview co-workers pursuing Basic EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification, emphasizing the foundation's commitment to enhancing healthcare education and community service. With a legacy of charitable giving since 1878, the foundation plays a crucial role in improving patient care and experiences in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

The NRA Foundation: Indiana Grants supports projects and organizations focused on firearms education and safety. Grants are available for both 501(c)(3) and non-501(c)(3) entities, provided they serve a charitable purpose. The foundation emphasizes promoting safe firearms use and hunting, educating the public about firearms history, and conducting research to enhance safety techniques. Eligible entities must be recognized as nonprofits by their state or the IRS, while certain organizations, like labor groups and private enterprises, are ineligible.

The Austin E. Knowlton Foundation Grant, established in 1981, provides financial support to students pursuing higher education in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. With a focus on STEM fields, the Foundation aims to promote academic excellence through direct grants to qualified colleges and universities. Since its inception, it has awarded millions in scholarships, making a significant impact on the educational landscape. The Foundation invites suggestions for expanding its reach and enhancing its contributions to higher education.

The Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants in Indiana support eligible communities in preparing for or recovering from emergencies that threaten safe drinking water availability. The Gloor-Hirschy Scholarship, established by the Parkview Health Foundation in 1988, honors Betty Hirschy, a dedicated nurse and Parkview School of Nursing alumna. This scholarship provides a one-time award of $1,500 to two current Parkview Health employees enrolled in accredited nursing programs. Eligible applicants must submit two recommendation letters, including one from a co-worker or leader, demonstrating their commitment to compassionate healthcare.

The Parkview School of Nursing Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, established by alumni of the Parkview School of Nursing, aims to support and encourage nursing students. Funded by the Parkview Health Foundation, which has been instrumental in enhancing healthcare in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio since 1878, this scholarship plays a vital role in fostering the next generation of nursing professionals. Eligible applicants must be current Parkview Health employees enrolled in accredited BSN or MSN programs.

The Sue Johnson Nursing Scholarship, established by Sue Johnson, former Director of Nursing Clinical Excellence & Research at Parkview Health, supports eligible Parkview co-workers pursuing a Bachelor's degree in nursing. The scholarship reflects Parkview Health Foundation's commitment to enhancing healthcare in the region by fostering educational opportunities for its staff. Since 1878, the foundation has played a crucial role in delivering quality healthcare and improving patient experiences in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

The Guy David Gundlach Memorial Scholarship offers a $20,000 tuition award over four years for Elkhart County residents graduating from local accredited high schools. This scholarship supports students planning to enroll in four-year degree programs at Indiana colleges or universities, particularly those from households where parents haven't completed a four-year degree. It honors David Gundlach's commitment to education as a path to a meaningful life.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship offers a transformative opportunity for three graduating seniors from Elkhart County each year. Funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. and administered by the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, this scholarship provides full tuition for four years at any accredited Indiana college or university. Eligible students must be residents of Elkhart County, graduates of local high schools, and plan to pursue a four-year degree. This initiative supports students from families without a four-year college background.
