Students pursuing vocational or technical programs are not eligible. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and submit a completed application along with at least one letter of recommendation by the stated deadline. Awards are determined by an Advisory Committee based on leadership potential, school and community involvement, financial need, and academic performance, with no single factor being determinative. Project Lead The Way (PLTW) offers grants for schools to implement the PLTW Computer Science program from 2025 to 2028. Schools must provide at least one PLTW course in the first year and two courses in the second year. The total grant is $14,000, covering participation fees and training costs. Project Lead The Way is offering a rolling grant opportunity for schools to implement the PLTW Engineering program for the 2025-2026 academic year and beyond. Eligible institutions include public, private, and charter schools located in the US. Grant recipients will receive funding to cover participation fees and training costs. Total funding amounts to $16,000, distributed over three years. Schools are encouraged to create pathways for students in engineering through this initiative.

The Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants in Kansas provide crucial support to communities facing water emergencies, allowing for the construction and repair of essential water infrastructure. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and federally recognized tribes. The program aims to ensure safe drinking water access after disasters, promoting recovery and sustainability in rural areas. The W.C. (Wayne) Haas Technical Scholarship supports Dickinson County high school or homeschool graduates, as well as nontraditional students who have earned a GED within the past two years or have equivalent workplace experience. This scholarship assists students pursuing education at a Kansas technical college or trade school, with priority given to applicants demonstrating financial need.

Strowig Family Scholarship - (1) $1,000

The Strowig Family Scholarship was established by Cathy Strowig and Pam Tate in honor of their parents, Calvin and Betty Strowig. The Strowigs were deeply committed to public service and community involvement, believing strongly in giving back through volunteerism and leadership. Calvin served as a state representative from 1963 to 1972, and Betty served as a First District Precinct Committee Woman from 1976 to 1988. 

The WaterSMART Applied Science Grants program, managed by the Bureau of Reclamation, aims to enhance water supply reliability and hydropower through innovative hydrologic data management and forecasting. Eligible entities are invited to apply for funding to develop water management tools and improve modeling capabilities. This initiative aligns with federal priorities to ensure sustainable water resource management, particularly during droughts and in optimizing water supply forecasts. Projects may include advancements in snow monitoring technologies and hydrologic databases.
