Healthy Home Team Grant

BCBSNE is proud to be a champion for health and well-being for our members and the communities we serve. That's why we're stepping up to present Healthy Home Team, an initiative to partner with Nebraska high schools in boosting health and well-being in communities across our state.

Each year we'll select up to 100 applicant schools to receive a $500 grant to support health and wellness for your students or local community. Schools may only receive a grant once every three school years.

The Region 4 Small Business Transportation Technical Assistance Center (SBTTAC) aims to empower small businesses by providing essential technical assistance and business development support. Funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation, this initiative will facilitate access to capital resources, connect businesses with key transportation agencies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The program is dedicated to minimizing barriers for small enterprises while fostering a robust support system in the transportation sector.

The Express Health Information Outreach Awards aim to enhance public health by increasing access to biomedical information for U.S. health professionals and the general public. These awards support projects that improve health information literacy among consumers and caregivers, ensuring they can effectively find and utilize health information. Focused on partnerships and outreach to underrepresented communities, the initiative seeks to promote healthy behaviors, prevent illness, and improve health outcomes through informed decision-making.

RFA: RHTP 3.3 Rural Health Care Workforce Incentive and Sustainability Model

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Economic Assistance (DHHS) is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) for the purposes of entering into a Grant agreement and awarding Federal funds through the Rural Health Transformation Project 3.3 to multiple eligible and qualified agencies. The purpose is to strengthen Nebraska's rural health care workforce by investing in the development and expansion of SNAP Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) Third-Party Partners that create sustainable health care career pathways in rural, frontier, tribal, and other high-need communities across the state.

Total Funding available

• $2,000,000
• The amount of funding each Applicant is eligible for is determined based on need and available funding. Each applicant will be eligible for up to $200,000. If applications exceed available funding, DHHS reserves the right to decrease requested funding allocations to maximize the available funding to best serve Nebraska and the requirements of the RHTP Initiative 3.3 purposes. 

This initiative is intended to:

• Build organizational infrastructure necessary to become an approved SNAP E&T Third-Party Partner.
• Develop sustainable health care workforce pipelines.
• Transition providers to the SNAP E&T 50/50 reimbursement model after the grant period.

The Waste Management Charitable Contributions Program supports initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship, sustainability education, and community vitality. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on public purposes, while ineligible requests include funding for operating costs and individual fundraising events. Schlink Foundation, established in 1966, has significantly impacted Ohio's nonprofit sector by increasing its annual grant distribution from an initial $500 to over $1.4 million in 2023.
