L’Oréal Paris Celebrates 20 Years of Women of Worth

For 20 years, L’Oréal Paris has honored women who uplift their communities through service. These non-profit leaders, our Women of Worth, each receive $25,000 to support their causes, mentorship from the L’Oréal Paris network and a national platform to share their stories.

Nevada students who are children of eligible first responders, nurses, law enforcement, corrections officers, or military personnel can receive scholarship support for accredited college education. Nevada volunteerism and philanthropy applicants may qualify for The NRA Foundation’s Frontline Heroes Scholarship, which offers up to US $10,000 for tuition, fees, books, room and board, or research materials.

Nevada students engaged in volunteerism and community service may be eligible for higher education support through the Robert and Margaret Pulliam Scholarship, which awards US $1,400 - US $1,600. Invest in Others recognizes advisors’ hands-on volunteer leadership, dedication, and community impact in volunteerism and philanthropy nationwide.

Nevada nonprofits partnered with a U.S.-based financial advisor can access volunteerism and philanthropy funding through Invest in Others, with awards up to US $60,000 for the advisor’s designated charity. Eligible nominees are active, U.S.-based financial advisors 45 or younger with at least three years of ongoing volunteer leadership with the nonprofit.

Nonprofits partnered with U.S.-based financial advisors who provide long-term volunteer leadership can receive up to US $60,000 in grant support through the Invest in Others Community Service Award. With a mission to amplify charitable work, Invest in Others provides Nevada volunteerism and philanthropy programs with funding tied to an advisor’s sustained community service.

Grants from Invest in Others help Nevada volunteerism and philanthropy initiatives by supporting nonprofits partnered with U.S.-based financial advisors. Eligible nominees are active registered representatives, investment advisors, or financial planners who have volunteered with a nonprofit for at least three years. Awardees’ designated charities can receive up to US $60,000 for nonprofit growth and development.

Pediatric surgeons providing humanitarian surgical care to underserved children, including those based in Nevada or working there, can be nominated for the Donald E. Meier Surgical Humanitarian Award, which honors long-term volunteerism and philanthropy in pediatric surgery. This American Pediatric Surgical Association recognition celebrates careers focused on charitable surgical service rather than routine practice.

Nevada youth programs focused on volunteerism and philanthropy may be eligible to connect local students with the Big Bald Dave Adventure Scholarship’s outdoor service trips. Big Sky high school students in grades 9–11, age 15 by June 1, 2025, who show leadership, volunteerism, and passion for adventure can apply for this summer experience.

Nevada students committed to volunteerism and community service can apply for the Douglas W. Pfautz Memorial Scholarship, which supports graduating high school seniors pursuing further education. Administered by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, this one-time award up to US $500 recognizes strong civic engagement, integrity, financial need, and plans for full-time study at a college, university, or trade school.

Nevada volunteer-focused organizations can access funding through the Foundation for Enhancing Communities’ Big 33 Academic Scholarship Fund, which supports academic scholarships and educational access. Pennsylvania high school seniors with at least a 2.0 GPA who plan to attend college or technical school, and who demonstrate service and leadership, may receive up to US $2,000 in one-time support.

Graduating high school seniors with financial need who are active community volunteers and residents of Middle Paxton Township or Dauphin Borough can receive up to US $1,000 for postsecondary education. The Foundation for Enhancing Communities’ Lynn E. Poffenberger Memorial Scholarship Fund supports academic access and equity, which may interest Nevada groups promoting youth volunteerism and philanthropy.

Nevada students interested in volunteerism and higher education may be eligible for the John D. Dixon and Louise A. Dixon Memorial Scholarship, which supports academic access and equity. Graduating seniors from Cedar Cliff or Northern York High School with financial need and a minimum 2.5 GPA can receive up to US $2,500 for college or trade school.

HOSA student members pursuing healthcare-related degrees and committed to community service can receive post-secondary scholarship support, including recognition for volunteerism, in Nevada and across Pennsylvania. With a mission to promote compassionate healthcare careers, the Foundation for Enhancing Communities provides the PennHOSA Foundation Scholarship and Helen Heidelbaugh Aspire Award, offering US $2,500 to eligible students in health fields.

Niskayuna high school seniors committed to community service and needing financial assistance can receive up to US $880 for higher education. Niskayuna Community Foundation provides Nevada volunteerism and philanthropy groups with a model of need-based, service-focused scholarship support that rewards academic achievement and dedication to enhancing local quality of life.

High school seniors engaged in local community service and diverse activities in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, or Schenectady counties can apply for this memorial scholarship supporting higher education. With a mission to empower generous people, The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region offers this award through a universal application that also connects students to additional academic scholarship opportunities.
