Child & Family Mental Well-Being Grants

To qualify for Child and Family Mental Well-Being funding, your program or service must focus on families with children. Funding priority areas include:

• Mental well-being for children, including: reducing suicide deaths; reducing frequent mental distress, anxiety, and depression; decreasing substance misuse
• Advance prevention and early intervention addressing risk and protective factors
• Expand comprehensive, family-centered, mental well-being programs
• Build trauma-informed systems for young children including evidence-based prevention, behavioral health treatment, or related interventions or programs
• Strengthen community behavioral health capacity and collaborations through coalition-building

Requirements

• A full and complete financial audit conducted within the last two years. Submission must include the entire audit, including any findings and the auditor's letter
• A copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) designation letter or a comparable government designation
• A completed W9
• A completed Supplier Form (a blank copy will be provided in the application)

Additional information

• In Utah and Idaho, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $100,000 per year for 3 years (up to $300,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• In Colorado, Montana, and Nevada, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $50,000 per year for 2 years (up to $100,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• A funding request may not exceed 20 percent of an organization’s annual operating budget, e.g., to be eligible for a $50,000 grant, your organization’s annual operating budget must be at least $250,000.
• In general, small equipment and materials are eligible at no more than a total $5,000 cost, but large equipment, construction, and capital costs are not eligible. Consideration will be given if computer equipment is necessary and vital to the success of the project.

Social Drivers of Health Grants

To qualify for Social Drivers of Health grant funding, your program or service must align with at least one of these social drivers of health priorities:

• Improve nutrition security
• Improve stable and quality housing through wraparound and support services

Requirements

• A full and complete financial audit conducted within the last two years. Submission must include the entire audit, including any findings and the auditor's letter
• A copy of the organization's 501(c)(3) designation letter or comparable government designation
• A completed W9
• A completed Supplier Form (a blank copy will be provided in the application)

Additional information

• Applications will be accepted for new or existing programs that clearly address a social driver of health. New programs may include pilot initiatives.
• In Utah and Idaho, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $100,000 per year for 3 years (up to $300,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.
• In Colorado, Montana, and Nevada, applicants can request a total grant award between $5,000 to $50,000 per year for 2 years (up to $100,000 total) for the entire project period. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months and must begin upon receipt of funding.

The FY26 Project Grant for Artists from the Nevada Arts Council supports individual artists in producing and presenting artistic projects, with funding up to $3,000. The Foundation prioritizes integrity in program implementation and does not fund schools or football development programs.

The TJX Foundation Grants support nonprofit organizations located within 15 miles of a TJX store that align with their community mission. Eligible areas include basic needs, education for at-risk youth, workforce training, and safety from domestic violence. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) for at least 12 months and have a nondiscrimination policy. Applications are invited through a Letter of Inquiry, with funding decisions based on community impact.

The Nevada Women's Philanthropy Impact Grant, established in 2005, supports 501(c)(3) public charities in Southern Nevada that address community needs. With over $8.7 million invested in local nonprofits, NWP prioritizes projects that align with their mission and demonstrate sustainability beyond the grant. Eligible organizations must have strong financial management, a minimum annual revenue of $250,000, and a commitment to community impact. This grant represents a crucial opportunity for nonprofits seeking to enhance their services.

The Tree Campus Higher Education Program, facilitated by the National Arbor Day Foundation, empowers colleges and universities to cultivate community forests and enhance campus environments. By meeting specific standards, institutions can achieve annual recognition, promoting sustainability and mental well-being. The program underscores the importance of trees in reducing energy needs, absorbing carbon dioxide, and providing green spaces that benefit students and staff alike. The Impact Las Vegas Grant Program provides substantial funding to nonprofits in Southern Nevada, focusing on initiatives that enhance culture, education, environment, family, and health. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status and serve the local community. Grants support projects with clear goals and measurable outcomes, while excluding funding for operational costs, individual grants, or political activities. The program aims to empower local nonprofits to create significant positive change within the community.

The Bessie Minor Swift Foundation Grant supports programs that enhance literacy and educational enrichment in communities served by Swift Communications. Grants are available to nonprofit organizations focused on developing literacy skills, STEM education, and interdisciplinary programs for children and youth. Nevada Division of Child and Family Services

The Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), together in genuine partnership with families, communities and other governmental agencies, provides support and services to assist Nevada's children and families in reaching their full human potential. DCFS recognizes that Nevada's families are our future and children, youth and families thrive when they:

Children’s Justice Act

Opportunity Summary

The Children’s Justice Act (CJA) provides grants to States to improve the investigation, prosecution, and judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner that limits additional trauma to the child victim. CJA grantees are responsible for implementing the requirements of the CJA grant program to reform state processes for responding to child abuse and neglect.

Funding Guidelines 

Examples of Types of Activities Supported by CJA Grant Funds Include

• Regional collaborations to enhance capacity and resource sharing;
• Regional and local multidisciplinary trainings;
• Development of resources, tools or technical assistance to address a specific regional or community need that will improve the investigation and/or prosecution of child abuse and neglect cases. 

Please Note:

CJA funds are to be primarily focused on the front-end, intake, assessment, investigative, and prosecutorial phases of child welfare. CJA Funds must not be used for prevention programs or treatment services. Projects selected by the Task Force should be mindful that funds must be spent to support efforts at the intake and investigative phase of child welfare.

The AmeriCorps Nevada Operational Grants provide funding for various organizations, including educational institutions and nonprofits, to recruit AmeriCorps members. These members enhance community support by improving educational outcomes, offering job training, and aiding in disaster recovery. Administered by Nevada Volunteers, this initiative has empowered over 1,600 members to create positive change across the state, serving vital roles in education, housing, and community service since 1994.

The NNLM Region 5 Professional Development Award offers funding for individuals at member institutions to enhance their knowledge and skills in health-related areas. This initiative aims to support meetings, workshops, and training that focus on health literacy, public health, and evidence-based practices. By fostering professional development, the NNLM seeks to improve healthcare services and access to health information across various communities, ultimately contributing to better public health outcomes.

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation supports organizations that aid children and youth affected by abuse and neglect, offering grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Eligible nonprofits must be 501(c)(3) registered, operational for at least two years, and demonstrate a commitment to the foundation's mission. Applications are considered for traditional, capital, and program support, focusing on sustainable solutions and clear objectives. Organizations must operate in areas with In-N-Out Burger locations to qualify.

The YES (Youth Engaged in Service) Fund, established by the Washoe County Commission, aims to support youth aged 5-24 in their community service initiatives, particularly in science and STEM projects. With grants ranging from $500 to $2,500, this fund encourages both individual and group applications. Projects must benefit the Washoe County community, covering expenses for materials, publications, and websites, fostering a spirit of philanthropy and engagement among young residents.
