Eligible candidates can receive a $10,000 scholarship and attend the NRF Foundation Student Program in NYC in January 2026. This program provides networking opportunities with top retail executives and recruiters, along with insights into career pathways in the retail industry, making it a valuable experience for aspiring leaders.

The NRF Foundation x Licensing International Scholarship offers a $5,000 tuition scholarship and a trip to New York City for undergraduate students pursuing careers in brand licensing. Eligible candidates must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be available to attend the NRF Foundation Student Program in January 2026. Bilingual students are especially encouraged to apply, enhancing diversity in the retail industry.

Undergraduate college students in Nevada interested in retail careers can receive up to US $1,200 from the NRF Foundation to cover free travel and hotel to attend the 2026 NRF Foundation Student Program in New York City. This higher education scholarship experience supports workforce preparation, job readiness, and business education through recruiter meetings and industry leader sessions.

Organizations supporting workforce development, forest health, or watershed and climate resilience projects in Nevada’s Lake Tahoe Basin can seek US $50,000 - US $450,000 to plan, implement, or monitor eligible work. Grants from California Tahoe Conservancy help advance workforce preparation alongside environmental restoration and public access in Douglas County, Washoe County, and Carson City.

Nevada students interested in legal career exploration and workforce readiness can access funding through the Josh Dubin Fellowship, a seven-week paid professional and educational development program. Offered by the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund, it supports current SCF scholars across the U.S. with legal research experience, mentorship, site visits, and additional scholarship aid.

Nevada students with eligible forms of thalassemia pursuing college, graduate, or vocational education can receive $250 - $2,000 to support tuition and training costs. Workforce preparation and job readiness students may be eligible if they are permanent U.S. residents, registered with Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, and enrolled in qualifying degree or certificate programs.

Nevada students pursuing college, vocational training, or workforce certificates who are personally affected by severe thalassemia, or closely connected to someone who is, may qualify for Cooley’s Anemia Foundation awards. These U.S.-based grants, typically ranging from $500 to $1,000, help cover tuition, books, and related educational or job-readiness expenses.

Nevada workforce and job readiness nonprofits can access funding through AFL Global to run STEM education, youth development, and adult life-enrichment programs that build employment and self-sufficiency skills. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations only, and programs serving local residents in these areas may be a strong fit for AFL Community Grants.

Nevada workforce preparation and job readiness professionals in theatrical exhibition, distribution, or related vendors facing illness, injury, or other life-changing events can access financial aid and counseling through the Pioneers Assistance Fund. Will Rogers Motion Picture offers temporary support for medical costs, housing emergencies, vocational rehabilitation, and essential equipment for eligible U.S. motion picture industry workers.

Nevada workforce and community nonprofits working on job readiness, education, housing, health, or youth and family support may be eligible for this funding. Nevada workforce preparation groups can access funding through Wegmans Family Foundation to support programs in workforce preparation and job readiness, hunger relief, youth support, and broader community services across the U.S.

Middle and high schools with strong career exploration and readiness programs, including those in Nevada, can apply for the Future Forward Schools Prize and Fellowship from Building Hope and American Student Assistance. This national program awards US $50,000 to five schools plus coaching, technical support, and a leadership fellowship to advance workforce preparation and job readiness initiatives.

City governments working on workforce preparation and job readiness in Nevada and nationwide can apply to participate in the Municipal Workforce Learning Lab. Focused on municipal workforce development, Georgia Municipal Association and partners invite cities to join an eight‑month action planning process with free coaching, technical assistance, and peer connections to improve recruitment, training, and retention.

Graduate students in urban planning, policy, public administration, economics, or related fields can apply for National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s $20,000 Fellowship for Equitable Development to work on housing, small business, and workforce development projects. Nevada community development organizations may be eligible as host partners if located within an hour of a selected fellow’s placement.

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition matches top-level graduate degree students with premiere community development organizations.

NCRC is looking for fellowship projects that move the needle on housing, small business development, and workforce development. Projects may directly result in community outcomes in these focus areas, or involve work with community members to create plans or project pipelines that will solve local issues in these areas.

The NCRC Fellowship cultivates the next generation of community development leaders and empowers them to tackle the issues of tomorrow. The community development sector will face significant challenges in the coming decades from climate change, widening wealth gaps, food insecurities, extreme housing shortages and other needs. These challenges will disproportionately impact low-wealth communities and communities of color. Therefore, it is NCRC’s intention and pledge to uphold the values of community empowerment in the fellowship program.

In an increasingly digital world, people without access to technology and the skills to use it are often locked out of economic opportunity. The Accelerator helps scale the impact of organizations that are working to change this.  

Since 2022, the Accelerator has served 35 nonprofit organizations across 13 countries, helping them reach an additional 11.3 million people. 

As a joint program of HP and the HP Foundation, the Accelerator offers selected organizations USD$100,000 in funding, HP technology & solutions (~USD$100,000 value), and a six-month, virtual program designed to strengthen capacity and scale impact.  Exciting changes are ahead for the 5th year of the Accelerator. 

AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Opportunity

About RSVP

Established in 1971 and now one of the largest senior volunteer programs in the nation, AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP engages people ages 55 and older in a diverse range of volunteer activities. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers tutor children, help prepare simple taxes, assist victims of natural disasters, provide nutrition/food support, facilitate opioid and substance abuse education workshops, and serve in their communities in many other ways. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers choose how, where, and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to a maximum of 40 hours per week. While serving, AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP volunteers improve their own lives by staying active and civically engaged. 

Funding Priorities

AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP programming is designed to meet community needs. Applicants may propose activities intended to address community needs by thoroughly explaining the unmet need and activities to be completed by volunteers to address that need. In addition, AmeriCorps is interested in programming that addresses agency priorities. AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP priorities for this funding opportunity are:

• Supporting Older Adults and Caregivers: Provide respite, support groups, system navigation, care coordination, and resources for older adults, including custodial grandparents, and caregivers.
• Helping Older Adults Re-enter the Workforce: Offer job readiness, mentoring, training, and remove barriers to employment for older adults (volunteers provide services, not seek jobs).
• Building Strong Families: Support parents in helping children succeed, mentor parents, connect families to resources, and strengthen community partnerships.
• Preventing and Mitigating Fraud and Scams: Use digital navigators and other strategies to protect older adults from financial fraud and exploitation, including emerging AI-driven scams.
• Reducing Homelessness: Develop or renovate affordable housing, assist people experiencing homelessness in finding and maintaining permanent housing, and address housing needs for vulnerable populations.
• Supporting Behavioral Health Initiatives: Improve mental health, reduce isolation, prevent substance use, provide harm reduction tools (Naloxone, fentanyl test strips), peer support, and recovery services.

Award Funding Requirements

Applicants must construct the budget in the following manner. The federal share of the budget must not exceed $75,000 plus up to $350 for every unduplicated volunteer, whether or not they serve in an outcome-based work plan.

Geraldine Mayo Beveridge Scholarship Endowment

About Geraldine Mayo Beveridge

Geraldine “Gerry” Mayo Beveridge taught school in Carteret County for 40 years. She was a Home Economics teacher and thought of her students as her children; she and husband “Captain David” had none of their own. Gerry would discreetly provide classroom supplies and clothing items for students in need. She quietly contributed money toward college for capable students who couldn’t afford it.

Gerry’s concern for students continued after retirement. As a member of the Carteret County Retired School Personnel (CCRSP), Gerry convinced members of the importance of awarding a scholarship to a graduating senior in each high school – East Carteret, West Carteret, and later, Croatan. To raise money, she organized bake sales and brought plants and canned foods to sell to members. The scholarships, though small, were a great effort for members and were greatly appreciated by recipients.

Gerry left a considerable sum of money to CCRSP with the expectation that it be managed well and used for scholarships. Today, the Geraldine Mayo Beveridge Scholarship is awarded to qualifying graduating seniors who want to teach Vocational Education, now called Career and Technical Education.

Gerry’s passion for her students and her love of education continues through this scholarship. She was an amazing educator whose philanthropy will last in perpetuity.

Spencer Educational Foundation Inc

The Spencer Educational Foundation was founded by the Rims Atlanta Chapter in 1979. To this day, Spencer remains the premier organization funding the education of tomorrow's risk management and insurance leaders.

The Spencer Educational Foundation: awards merit-based scholarships and grants to university students pursuing careers in risk management, insurance, and/or actuarial science; provides grants that create experiential learning opportunities both on and off campus; funds the development of risk management and insurance curricula in colleges and universities; supports Risk Managers by creating internship opportunities within the risk management function of their companies; and operates across the United States and Canada. 

Spencer Educational Foundation: Course Development Grants

Since 2014, Spencer has invested over $1.6 million in developing risk management and insurance (RMI) courses at close to 70 colleges and universities, exposing approximately 19,000 students to the RMI industry.

Our Course Development Grant program supports Introductory Risk Management and Insurance Course Development - for universities that have not previously offered any such instruction - as well as proposals for additional Course Curriculum Development and Program Development - for universities looking to develop a RMI program and/or expand existing RMI course offerings, with an emphasis on new and emerging areas in the industry.

T7 Social Impact GrantsThe T.D. Jakes Foundation (TDJF), in partnership with Wells Fargo, is proud to launch the Social Impact Grant Challenge, a transformative funding opportunity designed to identify, support, and amplify nonprofit organizations creating meaningful change in communities across the United States.

Designed around the T.D. Jakes Foundation's pillars of service (Educational Access & Workforce Readiness, financial inclusion, and community transformation and well-being), the Challenge seeks innovative nonprofit organizations that are addressing critical social issues through impactful, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

Finalists selected through this process will have the opportunity to showcase their organization through a live presentation at the inaugural Thriving Seven (T7) Summit, taking place November 12 –14 in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to competing for grant funding, finalists will gain national visibility for their work and connect with nonprofit leaders, funders, and changemakers from across the country.Grant Funding: A total of $1,500,000 in grant funding is anticipated to be awarded:

By focusing on diverse training and development, the program seeks to cultivate a new generation of library leaders equipped to meet evolving challenges.

The 21st Century Museum Professionals (21MP) Program, funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, aims to enhance career pathways and professional networks in the museum sector. This initiative focuses on developing current museum staff, recruiting new professionals, and fostering partnerships that promote effective workforce training. By emphasizing peer learning and alternative career pathways, the program seeks to create a robust and diverse museum workforce across the nation.
