Jay and Linda Casselberry Scholarship

The purpose of the Fund is to provide a scholarship for higher education at accredited institutions including but not limited to: vocational, technical, college, or university levels of education. Assistance is for a graduating senior or a graduate of Henderson County or the surrounding counties served by the Foundation in North Carolina public schools, leading to a degree. The student must have good academic potential, show a need for financial support to continue his/her education, exhibit personal hardship and demonstrate the initiative to better one’s self.

The scholarship is renewable.

Successful candidates should be focused, energetic individuals who demonstrate a high level of personal initiative.

The Lawrence Cheung, MD Scholarship for Public Health and Advocacy, offered by the AMA Foundation, supports medical students dedicated to leadership in public health. Each year, recipients receive $10,000 to assist with tuition, focusing on those from California. This initiative is part of the Physicians of Tomorrow program, which fosters the next generation of physician leaders committed to health equity. The ZMHA George F. Applicant must be a female resident of the Henderson County area who wishes to pursue a college education. Applicant must be twenty-two years of age or older.

The Kiwanis Club of Elk Grove Scholarship offers a $1,000 award to eligible high school students from Elk Grove, including Elk Grove High, Cosumnes High, Laguna Creek High, and Monterey Trail High.
