About the Donna Nigh Foundation

In 1985, friends of Donna Nigh formed the Donna Nigh Foundation as a birthday present and in recognition of Mrs. Nigh’s commitment and work on behalf of the state’s developmentally disabled residents, a cause she has championed since 1968. Since its inception, the Donna Nigh Foundation has awarded grants helping thousands of Oklahomans and their families. Many of these grants provide funding for adaptive equipment for individuals in private residences, group homes and schools with the goal of helping these individuals be as self-sufficient as possible.

Community Safety Investment Funds

Proposed projects/programs shall be an addition of services to the county/counties and shall not supplant existing funds or otherwise fund programs or services which are existing governmental service requirements or funded through other governmental funding sources, i.e., other ODMHSAS funds, Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Grant, or Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office Funding Assistance Grant. All SQ781 funds must be used by a county or multi-county government partnership from a previous fiscal year before current fiscal year dollars are expended. 

Projects/programs shall include the development and implementation of evidence-based programs within one or more areas:

  • Mental health and substance abuse treatment programs or other health care programs provided in the community.
  • Pretrial diversion programs, including intake substance use and mental health screenings or jail reentry programs.
  • Employment programs.
  • Education programs; or
  • Housing programs.

District Attorneys Council

The primary function of the District Attorneys Council is to provide a professional organization for the education, training and coordination of technical efforts of all District Attorneys of the State. Program Requirements

The purpose of this grant is to assist the grantee's implementation of the PLTW Engineering program. Grantee must offer the PLTW Engineering program for three academic years. Grantee must offer at least one PLTW Engineering course in the 2027-2028 academic year and must offer one additional course in the 2028-2029 academic year (two different courses in two years). Grantee may implement any PLTW Engineering courses of their choosing. Grantee must complete three years of grant reporting.
