The George H. and Lucille E. Buterbaugh Scholarship Fund, established by the Buterbaughs in 1993, provides financial support to high school seniors from Salisbury, CT, pursuing higher education. This fund honors George and Lucille's commitment to their community, where they lived for over thirty years. The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, a private entity, manages the fund, ensuring that local students have the opportunity to achieve their educational goals and enhance their quality of life.

The NCI Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) Non-Mentored Research Scientist Career Development Award (K22) aims to support postdoctoral fellows from underrepresented backgrounds in transitioning to tenure-track positions. This award provides essential funding for salary and research support for three years, enabling candidates to establish independent biomedical careers. Key deadlines for applications range from February 2025 to October 2027, ensuring ample opportunity for eligible researchers to secure funding for their career development.

Community Foundation of Henderson County was incorporated in 1982 by a group of fourteen dedicated and compassionate local leaders with the immediate need to manage two funds - the William C. BCAFF Scholarships

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund is offering three scholarships to graduating seniors who meet individual scholarship criteria. These scholarships are the Butler County Clinic Scholarship (medical field major); Charles O. & Grace M. Stoops Scholarship in Agricultural or Environmental Studies; and Butler County Area Foundation Fund Scholarship.

Charles O. & Grace M. Stoops Scholarship in Agricultural or Environmental Studies

• Funding for this scholarship through the Butler County Area Foundation Fund has been provided by a gift of Grace M. Stoops and the late Charles O. Stoops of Montecito, California. Scholarship funds are available for students whose major field of study is agricultural or environmental studies.

• Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded annually to resident graduates of David City High School, Aquinas High School, or East Butler High School. Additionally, a student who is a resident of Butler County who attends a school outside of Butler County, is also eligible. Each applicant may be an entering freshman or an upperclassman enrolled for post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education in the general areas of agriculture or environmental studies.

• Each scholarship must be used at a post-secondary accredited school of higher education.

• Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the school after the student has successfully completed the first semester.

The Guy Bradley Award, established in 1988 by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), honors individuals who have made significant contributions to wildlife law enforcement. Tucker Baptist Association Scholarship

For a high school graduate who is also a member of a church which is part of the Tucker Baptist Association. The applicant must be enrolled in a seminary, Bible college, or other educational institution where they are training for a Christian gospel ministry vocation. This may include but is not limited to, training as a pastoral minister, youth minister, music minister, educational minister, or foreign or home missionary. The training may be a degree program such as a Masters of Divinity, etc., or the training may be a seminar or educational course related to ministry development.

The Gene Robb Journalism Scholarship, offered by The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, recognizes the significant contributions of former Times Union publisher Gene Robb to journalism. It is designed for students with a demonstrated interest in journalism, requiring them to submit samples of their work. The Emily Trussell Stupak Scholarship Fund, established by the Maine Community Foundation, supports graduating seniors from high schools in Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Hancock Counties. The Capital Region Chamber Unified Military Affairs Council Scholarship is designed for students whose parents serve at specific military installations in the Greater Capital Region. This funding opportunity invites applications for R01 grants focused on molecular imaging methods to explore cancer inflammation in vivo. It aims to enhance understanding of dynamic interactions between inflammation and cancer through innovative imaging techniques. The UNCF Student Professional Development Programs (SPDP) Department works closely with some of the nation’s leading corporations and foundations to shape and execute internship programs, including both stand-alone internship programs and internship-and-scholarship programs with two goals – 

• To help companies build a more diverse workforce; 
• To provide diverse students with the preparation they need to succeed in college, familiarize themselves with professional career paths, and prepare to be competitive candidates for internships and future employers after graduation.

UNCF’s SPDP partners include The Walt Disney Company, Toyota, Papa Johns, United Health Foundation, Wells Fargo, and the Walton Family Foundation. We currently serve over 1500 students annually through internship, leadership, and professional development services.

The UNCF Student Professional Development Programs (SPDP) offer career readiness, success coaching, and paid summer and semester internships to college students. Students participating in SPDP will be exposed to career pathways and opportunities and have access to leadership and personal development training. 

SPDP students will:

• Prepare to navigate from college to early-stage careers
• Enhance professional experiences through meaningful internships
• Develop stronger project management skills
• Improve networking and communication skills
• Strengthen interviewing techniques 

Currently, the SPDP is sourcing candidates to fill for summer 2026 internships!! The Early Career Talent Development General Application is used to establish an applicant pool of potentially eligible students for these ongoing internship/student professional development opportunities that are published/unpublished. Internship or professional development opportunities using the Early Career Talent Development General Application, are restricted to students who are enrolled full time at an accredited institution within the U.S. during the 2025-2026 academic year. 

The NCCIH Natural Product Early Phase Clinical Trial Phased Innovation Award (R61/R33) invites research proposals for early phase clinical trials of natural products, including botanicals and dietary supplements, emphasizing scientific validity for further testing. Applicants may receive up to three years of funding for pharmacokinetics and bioavailability studies, with potential for an additional three years to evaluate clinical outcomes. This initiative aims to optimize natural product delivery through innovative study designs.

The Strategic Health Partners Scholarship, offered by the Cobb Community Foundation, supports children of W-2 employees of Strategic Health Partners. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens or legal residents with a combined family income under $330,000. Scholarships provide up to $2,500 for the first year and $1,000 for up to three renewals, contingent upon maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. This initiative aims to facilitate educational opportunities for families in need.
