The Beresford Area Foundation (BAF) promotes philanthropy and invests in a wide range of programs that contribute to our community's social, health, economic and well-being. Grant Program Objectives

Beresford Area Foundation strives to support a broad spectrum of programs and projects through nonprofit organizations that focus on emerging community needs, arts and culture, education, health and human services, economic development, historical significance, and community and civic engagement. BAF grant funds will NOT be awarded to subsidize normal operating expenses, elimination of budget deficit, annual fund drives, and capital campaigns. The foundation will not continually support the same project. BAF funds ongoing and established programs as well as innovative projects that address existing community needs. Grant funds may only be used for the purpose stated on the application.

The Lennox Area Community Fund is a charitable endowment established to enhance the vibrancy of our communities and improve the qualify of life for those who call these special places home. A board of local directors oversees the fund and works hand-in-hand with community members and civic leaders to understand needs and explore opportunities throughout the area. Each year, the board awards grants in support of local nonprofits and community-based projects and ideas.

Tea Area Community Foundation Grant

The Tea Area Community Foundation (TACF) is accepting grant applications from Tea area non-profit organizations. Up to $15,000 is available.

This is the 21st year the TACF, an endowment fund of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, is able to provide grants to non-profit organizations with plans for projects that will benefit and enhance the quality of life for residents of the Tea area community. Projects must promote one or more of the following areas for the community: beautification, health, historical preservation, or safety. 

Grants from this fund are awarded annually thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, community organizations, honorariums and memorials.

The United Airlines Trust Fund Grant, established by United Airlines in recognition of Siouxland's response to the Flight 232 incident, supports community projects and scholarships. Two-thirds of the fund's annual income is dedicated to scholarships, while the remaining third is available for grants that enhance social services, public education, and crisis response capabilities within the Siouxland area. Grant amounts typically do not exceed $2,500, with funding decisions based on project merit and community impact.

Brandon Community Foundation Grant

The Brandon Community Foundation was created by and for local citizens to improve the quality of life right here in our community. Gifts to this endowment fund, an affiliate of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, grow over time thanks to the benefit of a pooled investment that generates long-term asset growth.

Through the power of endowment, each and every year we are able to award important grants to Brandon-area nonprofits. To date, more than $515,000 has been granted to nonprofits and causes throughout the Brandon area, touching the lives of people right here at home.
