This scholarship is designed to honor young people with a passion for agriculture and a dedication to their rural communities. It aims to provide scholarships to youth who plan to return to rural areas to work and contribute to the continued vitality of these communities.

The Specialty Crop Block Grant Program in South Dakota, administered by the SD Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, aims to enhance competitiveness for specialty crops. This includes fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Grants support initiatives to boost consumption, expand market access, improve food safety, and foster research.
